Hello try to download the manual here ( if you don`t have it )

http://support.asus.com/download.aspx?SLanguage=en&p=1&s=24&m=M5A87&os=&hashedid=Sy2zparhZzfQeQp0

By selecting your windows system.
Open the manual folder, and click on global for download.
Adobe reader is needed to read the content.

Here is a trouble guide:

Check the power connections again, especialy the +12 volt connection. The power supply could also be failing.

Good luck

Asus monitor not working

If the monitor is still under warranty return it asp, any tampering will result in voiding the warranty. The problem is in the power supply usually one or more capacitors will open, if you are lucky it will bulge at the top leaking.

Everything runs, power supply turns everything on but nothing on screen, frustrated, where are those jumpers? I have SATA setup. I switched motherboards this particular model does not run core 2 quad so...

P5N32? that is a blast from the past. Your pins are located next to the bios of the motherboard and are labeled. You need to make sure the VGA settings are correct (bios recovery should take care of that on mobo I don't think there are pin/jumper settings) on board and monitor.

No video on monitor. Powers up, looks like everything should work but nothing on the screen. The Geeks at Geek Squad say it's a bad motherboard.

Remember before you attempt this there must be no power going to the computer.Do you have a onboard video or a video card installed. If you do,where is the monitor pluged in?on the onboard or the installed card.If you have onboard remove the other card.See if you get video. If not check the memory.

Asus Monitor boes blank and comes back after power recycle

1. You can see images on the screen for a few minutes. That means there is nothing wrong with your computer.

2. When your screen goes blank, if you disconnect and then reconnect the monitor, it shows fine again for a few minutes before going blank (or dim) again. That means the problem is not with you video card.

3. It always shows the image after reconnection for exactly a few minutes before going blank again. yes? this means that there is nothing wrong with your cable.

Conclusion: Sorry, but you do not have many options. I bleieve that the problem is with your monitor that's going bad. Its far cheaper to get it replaced than to repair it.
