Pretty sure you have to have at least one router in gateway mode to connect to the internet. An AP allows wireless devices to connect to a wired segment. The same as a router in gateway mode. AP mode has the benefit of extending a networks wireless range. If this is your only device leave it in gateway mode.

SOURCE: F5D7231-4 stopped connecting to Internet via downstream router

Why did you change it from dynamic to static? My suggestion would be to put it back to dynamic and let it grab a good ip address from the gateway. The other option is to contact whoever managed the network at your apartment and see what they will charge you for a static IP address.

Can you connect several n300 routers

Connect a computer to one of the Belkin's "LAN" ports with an Ethernet cable.Open a Web browser and enter "192.168.2.1" into the address bar. Press "Enter."Click "Login," then click "Submit."Make a note of the WLAN MAC address on the Status page.Click "Wireless Bridging" under the "Wireless" category.Click to check the two boxes "Enable wireless bridging" and "Enable only specific access points to connect."Type the MAC address of the Belkin router and the MAC addresses of the other wireless routers or access points that are participating in the bridged WDS network. I purchased a belkin n150 wireless router. I have no problems with it at all. However I had my phone connected via wifi and my wife tried to get on the lap top and it wouldn't connect. So my question, is...

Your router should broadcast 255 IP addresses as long as DHCP setting is enabled, which it is by default.
Here is the manual:

Unable to configure my wireless belkin N150

As i understand you have a router provided by your ISP: MTNL, you need to configure the Belkin router in Dynamic mode and not in PPPoE. Then restart the devices by unplugging the power from MTNL router and Belkin. Wait for 20 secs, then power up MTNL router 1st, wait for all lights to get steady and finally power up the Belkin wireless router. Then you will find the modem and internet light lit up properly.
For any further clarifications, revert!

Thanks and regards,

Enable security on wireless network

You can secure your wireless network wit WEP or WAP code.
For that Connect your router to computer with ethernet cable then you can access it with following default link.
http://192.168.0.1
or
http://192.168.1.1
For belkin router http://192.168.15.1
or
http://192.168.2.1

If you are not able to access it with above ip then check your computers ip address gateway ip is your router ip try with it.
Then it ask for user name and password.
Type user as "admin" and password as "admin" or "password" or blank.
Then you can see configuration page of router.
Click on wireless settings then enable WEP Security then add WEP code .It is your password to connect wi fi.Then save settings and restart router.
Then you can connect your wi fi network with that code.

How do i restore default settings on this router when i cant get the internet while the router is plugged in only get internet when i use computer without route. The modem and internet flash red

Should be a reset button on the rear of the router. You will need a thin pin or a ball point pen to push it in. Hold it in for about five secounds when router is powered up and it will reset itself to the settings it had when you got it out of the box.

I have Belkin n150 but the security button turn off

When the Security light on your Belkin n150 is off, it means that the wireless security is off.

The WPS button is used to setup the wireless security. To enable security, you will need to determine which standard you want to use. To access the security settings follow the steps below:

1. In the address bar of your Internet browser, type "192.168.2.1". Then press the "Enter" key.

2. It will prompt for a password to access the Router’s Web-Based Advanced User Interface. By default the password is blank.

3. Click "Security" on the "Wireless: tab.

Networking

You actually have a couple of issues here. Fix these in this order. 1.) Login to router and turn off wireless (if you're not wanting to use wireless) 2.) Connect the ADSL modem CAT5 port to the WAN port of the Belkin router. 3.) Login to router and turn on NAT and make sure DHCP is enabled. 4.) On your Windows machine turn on DHCP under the network settings. This should allow your connection to be setup automatically and stop wireless access on the Belkin router. Let me know if you need more help. JC
