You control the volume by the amplifier or receiver that you plugged the tascam into. The only volume control on the tascam appears to be for headphones, the other volume control is for recording gain input.

How can I change the volume on my phone when I speak to someone

You should have a button on the side of your phone to adjust the volum or try going into your settings and see if you can change the volum control and have it for the side button only,
for the side button to be used.

Cambridge audio volume control

The normal error on this type of volum resistor is that the volum is erratic when adjusted or goes the opposite way that you want it to go. This can be fixed by dismounting the front and the front PCB from the front. This will give you access to the volume "potmeter". Open the potmeter and you'll see the contact plates and the thin "arms" that is supposed to touch the contact plate. Pull these arme gently out so they push down harder on the contact plate. This will normally fix all problems that has to do with volum adjustment errors.

CD player does not recognise some CDs. When placed in the drawer the deck displays "no disc" if another CD player is used the disc works fine

I have two of these Tascam CD-A500 players, and one more than the other has this problem of not reading some CDs that will play fine in other players. I'm starting to loose faith in this Tascam product. Anyway, seems the consensus is to open it up and check for dirty laser optics. If that doesn't fix the problem, then send it in for repair or scrap it and buy a different brand. I've not had this problem with any other brand CD player, but very suspicious that the same problem happens on BOTH of my Tascam CD-A500 units.

Dear sir, Recently i've bought a Tascam US-1641. I'm trying to get it to be installed but that seems not to work. I have followed the instructions for installing the driver of the Tascam US-1641, and i do...

You should go to

Where you can adjust which controls you can see and how they behave.

I would like to run my tascam CD-GT guitar trainer through the speakers. Does the aux. speaker inputs above the antena connections have volume control through the stereo?

Hi Gargoyle005,

Most Aux jacks have a base level, other then adjusting the level on the trainer your would have to control the volume with the standard volume controls.

Cordially

Tascam CD-A500 'no disk' problem

try to listen to sound inside if the any motor is working through the disc tray. then try to open it (if you want though) then observe it.
after that if the motors are ok, try to adjust your optical lens variable risistor.
note if the optical lens is not emitting a red light your optical lens is the problem, changing it is the only solution.
