I have a P990i and ive installed a new theme and used that theme,
then i tried to enter control panel several times it does not let me
and shows me a message like "Application
closed/Kern......./Reason.........."!! So i turned off the phone and
restarted it but it only shows the sony ericsson logo and goes back off
again!!! I need some help please Please please!!!!!!

so lame, so i was installing a couple themes from se's website and my bottom bar was gone, so i restarted the phone, now when its booting it gets about half way on the scroll bar (where its black with white letters saying sony ericsson) the bar stops right under the 'r' in ericsson so i was wondering if there is a way that i can get around this by maybe doing a hard reset?
o and yes i did pull the battery, about 7 times now, been trying different things (only allowing it to boot so far and removing the battery, no sim, holding keys etc..)

o i just wanted to mention that i dont have the flap hooked up to it (regular keypad)

o boy so hopefully this will help someone in the future, i did a firmware upgrade and it fixed it, woo
First try to restore factory settings , if that didn't work , then update the software of your device and try again . Here is another website for themes www.mobile88.com or www.zedge.net .
