Which latest release of PrintMaster is compatible with PrintMaster 7.0 data?

Hi, PrintMaster is known for having versions that are not compatible with certain Windows Operating Systems, 18 is known to not work with Vista, yet works with 7 and XP quite well. The best solution would be either to upgrade to Windows 7 or get another version. Good luck!

Now, HAVING SAID THIS, dd you use ever Printmaster Platinum 17 with Windows 7? I understand that it is for Windows XP.
I'm no sure what kind of a mess you made with it uninstalling or removing but well, try to reinstall your original SETUP version in Windows XP COMPATIBLITY MODE
Befor you instal it cricght click setuo, select Properties, click on tab Comatibility and select option Windows XP Comatibility mode
If won'r work, I find no way to help you,

Printmaster 16 Platinum is an older program and is compatible with XP and older versions of Windows.

First check which version of Windows 7 that you have. Click Start > Control Panel > System and Security > System. If your version title ends with x64, you will need to use an option that lets you run an older version of Windows. If you do not see x64 in the title, then the compatibility mode might work.

For the 32-bit OS, right click on the installer and choose Properties. In the Compatibility tab, check the box for always run in the compatibility mode and select an older version of Windows. Apply the changes and click OK. Then right click again and choose Run as Administrator. You may need to repeat this to run the software as well. This is not guaranteed to work in Windows 7 32-bit.

The alternative is to run an older version of Windows. This could be on a second computer, a dual boot computer or a virtual computer (if your hardware supports the feature). Most of these methods require licensed version of the older Windows OS. If you have Windows 7 Pro or Ultimate or upgrade to them, you can run a virtual XP OS for free. Download Virtual PC and XP mode from Microsoft. Then install the Printmaster program in XP as if this is the only OS. (Other virtual computer programs are Parallels and VMWare.)

Printmaster platinum 8.0 is rather an old 16bits software and it is not compatible to your new version Win 7 OS.

Your option is to upgrade to version 18 which is Win 7 compatible.

You have to upgrade to a new version 18 to run on Win 7.

Maybe, It doesn't work because the driver/application you installed is for other versions of operating system. I am also using windows 7 like you so don't you worry, You can still use your old installer/driver from other versions of operating systems. Just remember that before installing any program in a windows 7 Operating System Computer, Use "troubleshoot compatibility". Right Click the Icon of your program installer/application first, then choose "troubleshoot compatibility". This will allow you to choose on what type operating system your program will run. Printmaster Platinum 16 is not compatible with Vista or Windows 7.
Presently there are not "patches" to make it works.

Your options is to use the newer version eg. version 18.1

Maybe, It doesn't work because the driver/application you installed is for other versions of operating system. I am also using windows 7 like you so don't you worry, You can still use your old installer/driver from other versions of operating systems.
