Model EVL201NXRQ05 serial eww4020663 WHIRLPOOL UPRIGHT FREEZER - Freezer which is having ice freeze on the bottom of the freezer. What can I do?

The defrost water from the melted frost (ice) collects in the bottom of the freezer. If there is no plugged up drain, then you must remove the water manually with a sponge and bucket after a defrost cycle.

Have a Whirlpool 15.8 cu.ft. Upright Convertible Freezer/Refrigerator Model EVL165NXRQ & use as freezer. It is constantly running with a humming or buzzing noise. What is causing this?

This unit has several fan motors, it could be one of them. If so you may have to replace the motor

Upright whirlpool freezer is not freezing. fan motor comes on, light comes on but is not getting cold. how can I trouble shoot the problem?

Could be the cold control thermostat that is the problem. You didn't provide your model number so couldn't get specific here. I did find another forum thread that might give you more clues: http://www.applianceblog.com/mainforums/threads/36458-Whirlpool-freezer-cold-but-not-freezing

I have a Whirlpool Model EV 200N Upright Freezer which is having ice freeze on the bottom of the freezer. What can I do?

If there is frost forming at the bottom to the door, your door gasket is leaking at that location. You may be able to relax gasket back in place with hair dryer, be carefull you can melt gasket. If it is sheets of ice, your defrost drain may be frozen

Same as post in Dec 09, I have water freezing at the bottom of my frostfree upright freezer (whirlpool).

Could be the drain is blocked, Otherwise the water would drain away and evaporate from the compressor unit.

My upright freezer has a small amount of water inside that freezes, creating an ice slide in bottom.

look at the bottom of your freezer, you will find a small hole or opening, it is a drain exit point of your defrosted water, try to clean it, maybe there is a small object bocking up the way or the hose all away down

My Whirlpool upright freezer keeps building up ice inside the bottom back wall. The fan starts rattling and freezer will not stay cold enough to make ice. If I take everything all out and leave it off...

Either your defrost timer, defrost heater or defrost thermostat has failed. All parts are located behind the lower back panel inside the freezer. Most likely are the defrost heater and defrost thermostat.
