I HAVE A CATALYST KENMORE ELITE WASHING MACHINE. (HEAVY DUTY, KINGSIZE CAPACITY, ULTRA QUIET PAK,3 SPEED MOTOR WITH 6 SPEED COMBONATION).
MY PROBLEM IS THAT I STARTED A LOAD AND AFTER IT FILLED UP I REALIZED IT WAS ON A CYCLE A DID NOT WANT, SO I CHANGED THE CYCLE. THAT DIDNT WORK, SO I THEN WANTED TO JUST SPIN AND DRAIN THE WATER OUT AND I CANT.
I NEED TO KNOW IF THERES A CYCLE THAT WILL JUST SPIN AND DRAIN THE WATER OUT SO I CAN START OVER??

My washer will not spin or drain the water out. I can empty the water with the hose, but it will not drain on its own. the machine will not go through the spin cycle either. What is wrong? Can I replace a part myself?
You have a clogged water pump....its simple to unclog but thats whats wrong a clogged water pump

I have a similar issue...Kenmore Eilte catlayst..is full of wate and clothes. Wont'd do anything, Timer counts down as if the washer is going thru the cycle but no activity. Removed top unplugged harness and reconnected now getting "OL" anytime i try to do anything. Please help. Is it the lid switch? Ima appliance dummy :)
