Sigma 4in1 card reader not working

Try a different / all other USB ports on the computer, and if possible, a different computer if no USB port on your computer works with it. If it still doesn't see the drive, the drive is probably not working. If it does see the device, but is asking for drivers, provide a disk with drivers that came with the reader - or check the Sigma web site for drivers that work with you OS (Windows, Mac, etc.), download and install / extract.

If it sees the device, but doesn't see the memory card, the reader may not recognize the newer, larger capacity memory cards. SD cards are smaller than 4GB in capacity, and SDHC cards are 4GB and larger. Make sure that if you're trying to read an SDHC card that the reader SPECIFICALLY says it works with SDHC cards. Most SD readers can NOT be upgraded with firmware to be able to read SDHC cards - a new SDHC reader is required.

Good luck!

Computer isn't recognizing my Samsung PL120- Instructions have read that if you connect the camera via USB the program should automatically install. It doesn't. If i look under removable devices...

Use a card reader. Since your computer has a USB port, you can get a card reader that reads SDHC cards. This is exactly how I do it on my computer.

MY WD MY NOTEBOOK IS NOT DETECTING DO WE NEED SOFTWARE TO INSTALL FOR DETECTION

It does have software for it, but it doesn't require it. Try to connect it to another computer, and if it works there, see if that computer has any detection software. When you connect something to an usb port if it says "this device could work faster" do not hesitate to click that button. Try all of your usb ports. If you use a mac try connecting it to a pc.

Try restarting the iPod and connect it again. If it doesn't recognize it try it on another PC, if it still isn't detected it is the iPod. Buying a Mac wouldn't help nor hurt the situation, it would just be an expenditure.

I have a samsung GT-S5600V ive installed the software for it 'USB cable' and 'Samsung new PC studio' and ive connected my phone to the computer through the USB cable and its not searching...

HI there,
I've personally gone through this circle...ugh.
First - Reboot your computer, and your cellphone. Turn them both completely off, and back on.
If that doesn't solve it,
Second - UNinstall everything to do with your phone. Drivers/Software/Etc. Once that's done, Reboot your computer. Now reinstall the drivers/software/etc, and when that's finished, plug your phone in, let windows find and install what it needs to.
If THAT doesn't work,
Sometimes windows installs your phone as a modem, and then as a usb disk. It may be possible that you machine recognizes the modem first and runs a process to coincide with that. FInd that process and kill it, and you should be good to go!

I'm also having a problem transferring my pictures to my Mac via the USB connector. Where do I get a card reader (is this a stupid question...)? Thx.

Not a stupid question at all.

Have you tried starting iPhoto before connecting your camera to your Mac with the USB cable?

That might help with getting the photos off of your camera.

If that doesn't work, try downloading and installing Picasa for Mac. Usually Picasa is very good at detecting and supporting many different types of cameras.
