The camera will not deface your photos by scrawling a string of digits across them. However the date and time (and a lot more) are stored with every picture in its EXIF metadata. Any photo viewing/editing program should be able to display this data. To print this data, please consult the documentation for whatever program you're using to print your pictures. Depending on the program and printer you may print the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back.

How do you BURN the date and time on the photo pixels

Canon S3 IS cannot stamp date and time directly on photos. The date and time data is inserted digitally in the photo files as EXIF data which can be read by many software products. Try loading your photos with Picasa for example and you can see the date and time photo was taken.

How do i remove the time and date at bottom right corner of picture.

Manual can be downloaded free from here ....

http://safemanuals.com/annexe_POWERSHOT%2020A550%2020CAMERA%2020USER%2020GUIDE%2020ADVANCED%2020_CANON_POWERSHOT%20A550-_E.htm

Basically the date stamp can be turned on / off as an option on the RECORD menu. Page 33 of the manual explains it (with pictures).

Note that if the option is turned on, it states that the date / time is permanently embedded in the picture.

Hope this helps

Date stamp on photos for Canon SD100 IS

I believe you are referring to the PowerShot SX100 IS, as there is no SD100 IS. And yes, it does have the date stamp option while the image size is set to the postcard mode.

Canon SD 1000 time and date stamp on downloaded photo

Set the resolution to PostageCard (1600x1200).
Many of these cameras have only ONE RESOLUTION setting which allows you to have a date/ date and time stamp on the file, which will print on the viewed or printed photo.

How to do it:
Turn the camera on M mode.
Use the func. set.
go down the menu to the resolution settings. (on the bottom of menu).
Pick only the postagecard (1600x1200) setting.

I also was like you, and had an awful time with a camera I was fixing. I then looked it up on the Net and found an online user manual for the Canon SD 500, which should be basically the same.
