If you hit the ESC key and get to the main menu there is a Setup submenu. In there you can change the line voltage values coming into the UPS. Sometimes a previous owner will change those values and cause the UPS to fault when properly connected. NOTE: A CERTIFIED ELECTRICIAN SHOULD VERIFY ALL CONNECTIONS ENSURE PROPER PHASE ROTATION.

No you don't have to reconfigure the UPS after battery replacement. However you may have to reset the battery Timer. There are 4 possible ways. 1. Press and hold the fault reset button for 3-5 seconds 2. Press and hold the fault reset and security key simultaneously for 3-5 seconds 3. Press an dhold the fault and alarm silence buttons simultaneously for 3-5 seconds 4. Cycle the logic Power. This means to remove power from the main processor. 5. Call MGE. They have the software to reset the battery replacement alarm
if this comes sometimes and goes, this means that the power to ups is sometimes deviating from the specific ups input range, hence the ups is rejecting it. mesure the input voltagesand frequency with a multimeter and check whether they match the specified ones in the ups manual. aslo with some ups there are switches that you use to set the input voltages or number of phases in the ups input. check the manual to see whetther your ups has such.
