How do you change the time zone on 2007 Toshiba Regza 42HL67?

I bought a Toshiba Regza 42HL67 in 2007. It is still on factory setting which is eastern time. I need to change it to mountain time. I have been trying for years. I also bought a Toshiba 32" 2 years ago. I set that one on mountain time. I tried the same process for the Regza, ... but the setup is different and the needed feature is not visably available. Can you help me change the time on the 42" Regza TV ??

SOURCE: LCD tv zoomed in. can't un-zoom it.

Are you connected to a cable box with its own remote control, if so, some systems have a zoom control on the cable box remote. Check to see if it is setup to "Movie" mode or similar.

What is the best converter box to use with toshiba regza 42hl67 flat screen tv?

As far as I can make out, this Toshiba model is made for the US market so doesn't actually have a freeview tuner. It will only receive satellite and cable HD signals and local US TV, all of which has to be bought. You need to get something like an August DVB400 - HD Freeview Set Top Box -Digital PVR Tuner with USB TV Recording, eBay would be best I think, where they are sold for under £30.00. The tuner packed up on my 32" Regza so I bought one of these and it works fine. Plus you can record to a USB stick if you don't want to miss a programme. Hope this helps ......BS

42hl67 has a continuous blinking yellow light in 3 blink intervals, how do I fix this?

I followed the steps at the following link and it worked for me. I have a 2007 Toshiba Regza 42HL67, but the firmware applies to many models as documented in the readme file at the location found via the link below. I used a 1gb SD card formatted FAT16, copied the unzipped files and folder to the card (wasn't sure if it required the top level folder or only the files under the top level folder so I copied both to the root of the SD card), unplugged the TV, inserted the card, plugged in the TV, waited 2.5 minutes, unplugged the TV, removed the card, plugged in the TV, yellow light flashed 3 times and went out. I turned on the TV and it has worked normally since last night.

Wrong Time

This appears to be a issue with the Magellan code. The Magellan code is setting Daylight Savings Time according to 2007 rules and not the 2008 rules. Magellan support indicates to change the time zone from Eastern to Central, save it and then put the time zone back to Eastern Time. I do not understand this solution. You can simply uncheck the Daylight Savings Time option and this will put the clock to the correct time. You will need to check the Daylight Savings Time option to put the clock ahead one hour when the clock is off by one hour. Magellan support informs me this is a manual process. Magellan needs to create a fix in their firmware to change the clock according to 2008 Daylight Savings Time when the box is checked.

REGZA 42HL167 Won't turn on

I found it!!

In my case, the 42HL167, the CPU pcb (most commonly referred to the SEINE PCB) is having issues booting and just isn't starting up.

My friend gave me his 42HL167 after this problem started after a power event during a storm and I managed to fix it by reloading the firmware.

I posted instructions on my website at:

http://www.benjammin.net/www/pages/techtips/Toshiba-Regza-42HL167.html

Once I figured out some of the facts, it was a breeze...

I agree -- it seems like a design flaw. What cracks me up is that the places I called for a replacement SEINE PCB require the core (the bad PCB). Well GEE, why is that!?!? EASY FIX MAYBE?

It was. Too easy. Shamefully easy.
