My computer does not see this drive any more. I hooked it up to a laptop and it suddenly stopped. I plugged it back into my desktop and it does not show in window explore.
Can someone suggest something?
I've had the same problem - USB device not recognized. When I shut my laptop down, I unplug the power to the drive. When I start up the laptop, I plug the power back into the Seagate and all is fine. Annoying, but it works. I also had to turn off all the power saving features of the drive. If it "went to sleep" while the computer was on, I'd lose the drive again.
Uninstall all usb controllers from device manager and then restart your computer. Scan ur system with mcafee 8.5i
Try downloading a [mac drive 7] but if u have data on your drive and u format it u will lose all data if it ask
u to format you sea gate and it is a external drive.
