You can try a hard reset: Unplug TV from AC mains and remove all cables from TV. Wait about 30 minutes and replug to AC power and redo the cabling. Switch on the TV and see if it works.. If this did not work then relocated the tv and make sure that you give enough space behind the tv to dissipate heat ,if the blue led comes then then it could the problem with heat sensor activating the tv to turn off there changes of dust accumating in the tv try to clean the dust and connecting back and check it it works ...

Good luck...

This is overload/fault protection to prevent further damage. How long have you owned the television? I would suggest having a professional service the television as repairing it yourself could lead to further damage.

http://maps.jvc.com/cAscList/
follow this link and you can locate the nearest service center and inquire about an estimate and repair. If you need further assistance let me know, also please take a moment to accept and rate my solution accordingly.
Thanks,
Lee

The tv turns on but turns itself off after a minute

There can be several causes for this, few of which you can do anything about. However, a few things to try.

1) Replace the batteries on your remote control.
2) Try resetting the logic functions on your tv by unplugging it for a minute, then plugging it back in.
3) Try covering up the infra-red receptor on the front of your TV to see if you're getting unwanted signals from the receptor. taping a piece of foil over that area is perfect. If it doesn't stop after doing these two things you'll probably need to take it to a shop.
4) If this does stop it, then look for unexpected signal sources. Have you added a remote control extender? Added a new device to your audio-video system? Changed to a new remote?

Good luck with your problem...I hope you can work it out.
