Can't get my Accurian subwoofer to work

Just bought an Accurian 125-Watt Powered Sub from Radio Shack and I can't get it work. My receiver only has one Subwoofer Out jack. No Sub speaker terminals on the receiver. I only have a stereo RCA line and I hooked up the red line to both the Sub and the receiver.

OK if you came out of the receiver sub pre-out RCA jack into the subwoofer RCA jack ( most subs call this low level line in) and no sub sound you may need to program the receiver to tell it that a subwoofer is being used, many receivers have this function, and some default it to NO SUB and them your low end soung goes to the front right and left speaker, so check the receiver manual and look under adding a subwoofer instructions if available.

Sounds like you have everything hooked up properly. Make sure the outlet is providing AC power to the sub. Check the power switch on the sub.

If it is not working still; bring it back and swap it for another one before you warranty runs out.

I have a samsung subwoofer that has 2 "red and black" or pos and neg inputs on the back and thats it, no volume knob or anything. I have found at radio shack a cord that lets me plug in at pos...

The sub woofer most likely needs to be powered, is it also plugged into the wall? Otherwise it's not receiving an amplified signal strong enough to move it's diaphram.

Either one will work. You should get a rca "y" adaptor, at radio shack or another electronics retailer.

What wires go to the subwoofer to connect to a sony receiver

hi you should only need 1 rca going from the sub pre out to your subwoofer inout.

some subs require a stero signal coming in and you may need to pickup a Y adapter at radio shack.

Simple question?? how do I connect my Panasonic subwoofer to my denon receiver?

I have a very similar problem with the same exact Panasonic sub. I went to Best Buy and Radio Shack looking for an adapter, and they basically told me that one does not exisit. Apparently, Panasonic designed the home theater system specifcally so that it could not work if any part of the entire system was ever seperated.

No Soound on Subwoofer from Yamaha RX-V363

I have the same setup. Are you going out of the subwoofer output of the reciever? (it's purple.) then into the LFE jack of the subwoofer (also purple.) That's the only connection you need besides power. If you have those right, try using your cable for something else to make sure the cable is good. Is the indicator of the subwoofer green? Mine comes on with the reciever. Good luck!
