Modem driver problem for Acer Aspire 4315 Notebook

I cannot get the modem working. Device Manager says "?modem device on high definition audio bus" and "SM Bus Controller"

    Yes. It is built-in the ACER 4315 laptop. I downloaded the package Modem_Lite-on_v.... and it fixes the problem. However, I do not understand the "?SM Bus Controller" error. Thannks again.

I ve replace vista with xp professional on acer 5315 aspire ICL50
You can download all of them they will not install if the driver is not the right one. After download run it, the software will look for the device if it can not find it it will notify you stating "The device can not be found" if it is the correct one it will complete the installation.

well high definition audio bus has nothing to do with the usb modem try installing the usb modem drivers on your system after plugging in the device
restart your computer
now try to use the usb modem it should work now

These are the same thing , they will both disappear when you install the audio driver

go to the acer website and then to laptops choose your laptop i guess its a aspire 3680 download the sound drivers and install it then download the modem and install it manually, i think there are 2 of them there try both one will work out.
