Check copper line from fuel pump to burn pot. The slightest leak can cause e14 code even hour or a couple days later. Also check gasket from top of burn pot to heat exchanger for air leaks

It sounds like you have a fuel problem, check to see if there is some kind of blockage in the line or at the tank value.

SOURCE: mpi monitor 422 heat problem

I had the same problem last night and this morning. Its in the manual. I had to take the fan off of the back and vaccuum out all of the dust/lint that built up and it was a lot. It is a safety feature. It's a overheating protection feature that usually triggers if there is build up in the fan, front vent or vent pipe to the outside. I hope this helps.

How can I fix my MPI 2400 monitor heater after a severe power outage and short that fried everything digital in my home.

Phone the electricity company and tell them what happened. Tell them your were electrocuted by their wire coming down and it damaged your heater. Ask them to send someone to fix it. The other thing you can do it contact your insurance company although they will probably say severe weather or an Act of God is not covered.

Parts for that heater are VERY expensive! :>(

Monitor MPI it flashes F 13 or 14 & smells, I had it cleaned 6 months ago

The codes are "E" Codes. an E13 is no fuel. E-14 means flame rod malfunction. Unplug the heater then reconnect, this will reset the heater. Try your red prime button. Could also be the fuel pump or your fuel source feed line isn't flowing fuel.

My light won't ignite on my mpi 441 monitor

this morning my heater, monitor 411, was running fine as always.
while it was running the power company came to work on a pole and turned the power off. it was down for about three hours. once power was restored it wouldn't come on.
the pilot light is off but I'm not sure if it's suppose to be while not running.I've tried priming it with three pumps, resetting by unplugging, beleeding the line, all don't work.
it's suppose to be 22f tonight so I could sure use some help.
oh, I have a manual but, of course, it doesn't cover the problem. I also called the company but got a voice mailbox...go figure.
somebody please help!

usually when you run out of oil,you need to bleed off air. there's a bleeder on pump looks like bleeder on a car brake cylinder.atach a piece of rubber hose and run to a bottle, open it up when pump is running till all you get is oil.
