That answer is mostly correct. When holding down the Answer button, you turn the headset back on and continue to hold the Answer button until the voice guidance says "Power On". Then you should be GTG!

If your Jabra Extreme2 Voice guidance is not turned on - i.e. you only hear beeps when you power on or a call comes in...

Cause: powered on or off with answer button depressed

Solution:
1) Power off
2) Hold down answer button (the one that lights up Jabra)
3) Power on
4) Release answer button

You may need to repeat.

Will the Jabra Style+ headset announce caller? Or is this a function of the phone itself?

A feature of the phone. The headset is what it is, just a headset carrying what the phone has. However the headset does have to ask for what the phone has. Check online for the manual of the Jabra headset you are thinking of.

How do you turn off talking caller ID on panasonic kx-tg4032?

This feature lets you know who is calling

without looking at the display.

To use this feature, you must:

- subscribe to a Caller ID service of

your service provider/telephone

company.

- turn this feature on (page 24).

When caller information is received, the

handsets and base unit announce the

caller's name or phone number received

from your service provider/telephone

company following every ring.

The unit announces in English only.

L Name pronunciation may vary. This

feature may not pronounce all names

correctly.

L Caller ID service has a limit of how

many characters can be displayed. If

the caller's name is too long, the

handset may not be able to display or

announce the entire name.

L The announcement is heard at the

same level as the ringer volume (page

16, 23).

L If you turn on the answering system

and set the number of rings "2

rings" (page 36), the unit does not

announce the caller information. If

"Toll saver" is selected and there

is a new message, the unit does not
announce the caller information.

How to disconnect the Caller ID Voice?

Hope this helps:
LUsually the unit announces the caller’s
name after the 2nd ring. If you turn on
the answering system and set the ring
count to “2” (page 41), the unit does not
announce the caller’s name.

LG Xenon - for adjusting the audible caller announce feature: hit the options menu in the top right corner and select call alert, you can set the phone to announce the name or number of the person calling/texting before the ring.

keywords: call, caller, audible, announce, announcement, announcing, loud, alert, name, person

RECORD AN ANNOUNCEMENT

announcement can be up to 4 minutes long.
2 Press A.
3 Press and release S until you see
the letter of the announcement you want
to record (A, B, or O).
4 Press R. Begin speaking after you
hear the beep. Speak in a normal tone
of voice, about 9 inches from the
microphone.
5 Press S. The system plays your new
announcement. To hear the announcement
again, press P.
6 Repeat Steps 3 to 5 to record another
announcement, or press S.

To assign an announcement to play:

SELECT ANNOUNCEMENT CALLERS HEAR
1 Press and release F until the screen
displays ANNC.
2 Press and release S until the screen
displays the announcement you want
callers to hear (A, B, or O). If you
select AO, you must record an announcement,
as instructed in “Record an

This is the info from the users manual, it seems a bit strange,
but claims if you set the number of rings before it answers, (for the answering system) to "2" it will stop the audible caller ID.
Here it is from the manual.

If you turn on the answering system
and set the number of rings “2” (page
38), the unit does not announce the
caller information. If “Toll saver” is
selected and there is a new message,
the unit does not announce the caller
information.
When you receive a call while on the
phone, the 2nd caller’s name is not
announced even if you subscribe to
both Caller ID and Call Waiting with
Caller ID services

Phone wont talk--it has talkingidfeatures

The ringer has to be on first. Usually the unit announces the caller’s name after the 2nd ring. If you turn on the answering system and set the ring count to “2” the unit does not announce the caller’s name. Set it for more than 2 rings for name announcement.
