Resetting the password

If its the password to unlock the notebook you can go HERE for reset instructions.If its the OS asking for a password there is another way to get around that.

There are 2 things what can be done.
1. Crack the Administrative password by following the steps in the link below http://www.clazh.com/how-to-hack-or-crack-a-windows-xp-administrator-password/
2. Take the computer back to factory setting which will wipe out all the data on your computer and get your computer back to factory settings by inserting the restore disc

You can re-insert your pc battery and can have a new bios password.

Hi, try the F8 key during initial boot, this should get you into BIOS.

If you dont remember the BIOS password, you may remove it by resetting the BIOS password.

Please follow the below steps to reset the BIOS password:

1) Please remove the bottom casing of the Notebook.
2) Once you have removed the below casing, you should be able to see a CMOS Battery.
3) The CMOS Battery will be of a size of a coin.
4) Once you have found the CMOS Battery, please remove and re-insert it again.
5) The CMOS Battery will have the information about the Computer Date, time, BIOS Password etc.,
6) Removing and re-inserting the CMOS Battery will reset these settings, which will also remove the BIOS password.

Please perform the above steps and let me know the results.

Inorder to reset the BIOS password, you have to open the laptop from the back, locate the CMOS battery, remove it and press down the terminal (with the help of a screw driver) for 5 sec, now turn ON the computer (keepon holding the terminal) short the BIOS. Now, Turn off the computer and restart the computer, it will reset the BIOS password.

its just asking the user password of bios, if u did not it then u have to reset it by removing BIOS cell on the motherboard of your laptop. You just open ur leaptop from back side and remove the cell (battry) and the reinsert it.

no i'm affraid that the bios is locked and you cannot reset, you need the password to access the laptop.
try "toshiba" as the password and see what it does

There are two places when you may be asked for a password - can you please clarify which one it is.

1. The BIOS password which will ask you for a password BEFORE you see the Windows loading screen
2. The Windows password, which will ask you for the password after the computer has started, but before you can see your desktop.

There is a reasonably easy solution for both of these.
