I have a Pelouze 4010 digital scale. Has worked perfectly for 8 years. Today the read out is locked up reading 4010. I tried a reset by unpluging the power for 30 seconds and longer, still come up with 4010 when power is applied. Not sure if the read out is the problem or the actual scale, but nothing has been moved since last used. Can I buy a new readout, if that's the problem. I Googled Pelouze hoping to fine the factory abd be able to contact their service, but was unable to find and direct by to contact. What do you suggest? Thanks for your time.

Mine was doing that. For me, it was the "phone cable". It had been repaired by the previous owner and the wires were disconnected where they spliced the wires and taped over them. I temporarily respliced the wires and the display got past the 4010 and was reading weight again. I'm currently looking for a new cord. The cord uses a very narrow phone plug, so I'm having trouble finding one.
The phone hand set wire try that i think its the same. :)
