SOURCE: 3 YEAR OLD SANYO DP 32746. SHUT ITSELF OFF, CAN NOT TURN BACK ON

If you leave the tv unplugged for 2 days (atleast) then plug it back in and try to turn it on and if it comes on its the power supply board. If it comes back on it will probably shut off between 30min to 4hrs and you would have to unplug it for 2 days again. All the power needs to drain out of the tv. If thats the case take the back pannel off and check the part number out on the internet. Not hard to do becarefull touching things the power supply does store a little bit or shock in it. Good Luck.

Testimonial: "while we did not unplug the set, we let it sit for 2 days and we were able to turn it on by the remote & manually....does that still sound like P/S"

SOURCE: when i turn on the tv , it shuts itself off in 2

I had a similar problem with my Phillips 42 in. LCD HD TV.

Here's the problem. The Power Supply Board. I opened my TV up(warranty was up of course) and found several bad capacitors. Phillips and several other companies were sold capacitors that although were highly rated failed within 5 years because of a lack of preservatives. All sorts of electronic equipment is now being effected due to these defective capacitors.
Solutions?
1. Take it in and have it fixed
2. Open it up, check the board for faulty capacitors(bulged or leaking) Buy a new Power supply board and install it.
3. Remove PSB, remove faulty capacitors and replace with compatible new ones.

Hope this helps

Why doe's my sanyo 50'' plasma tv turns itself off

You have a fault on your HV switching supply Board and/or your Vertical or Horizontal control boards. The stk 917-811A x2 (Power Modules) of them could be Faulty. You need to take your set to a Professional Tech. work shop. The cause normally is Mains Voltage surges and erratic mains supply inputs.

My 46" sanyo lcd tv screen was all black on the right side and got to where it shut off now it wont even come on

Specifying the model - and in case of Sanyo TVs the chasis - is critical for faster and proper diagnostics of such problems.

Here are a few points of reference, neither of which covers nearly completely the very wide Sanyo TVs line:

Sanyo dp46819 after 5 minutes tv starts changing channels by itself and volume shoots up ,will not shut off ,have to unplug to shut off,,what is problem?

Good day!

That problem is usually happens when the button is defective..

The push button is not get back to the original position it remains on contact so the channel is automatic tuning

Please replaced the button of channel to fix that problem.

Thank you and good luck
