I would unplug your unit so that you can replace the fan. It sounds like the bearings have gone out on your fan. This is somthing that you can do yourself. If you do not feel comfortable, you can pay a technician about $200 to do this for you. If you decide to do it yourself, remove the fan and bring it to your local supplier. He can sell you a replacement.

If you put 35 quarts of warm applesauce in there you probably defrosted it iwth that....I as long as it seems to be running and you can feel cold air I would give it more time...
I think you should see if the circulation fan is working inside. Sometimes they need a little push and some WD 40 let me know. I might have another idea. The Raz Shack
After looking at some advice from others I turned the internal dial to the OFF position, then turned it back to 6 or 7, and left it for 20 minutes, and it is now freezing again.
