I cannot find gelatin among the ingredients listed on the Performance Energy bar, peanut butter flavor. However, there is no kosher seal either. I think they used to be kosher (like 20 years ago).
Power Bars are actually not certified kosher. This is because they
contain gelatin, which is an ingredient that is derived from pork.
Absolutely! All Balance Bar products are certified Kosher and it even says so on the package.
I got this information from their official website: "Promax Core, PromaxLS and Crunch bars are
certified gluten-free by the GFCO (Gluten Free Certifying Organization). The
GFCO defines the standard for gluten-free as less than 10 ppm which is half the
proposed FDA standard of 20 ppm gluten. GFCO certification requires that each
ingredient has been evaluated and approved by the GFCO as gluten-free. In
addition, strict standards have been set in the manufacturing facility to
assure no cross-contamination. Finally, the finished product is tested as final
assurance that Promax bars comply with the GFCO certification."
