From the FM Radio option, there is a "scan for stations" option.

Pyle PBMSPG190 can't scan fm stations

If you're having trouble scanning FM radio stations on your Pyle PBMSPG190, there are a few things you can try:

- Check your antenna: Make sure your FM antenna is properly connected to your radio and is positioned in a location with good reception. If your antenna is damaged, you may need to replace it.
- Check the FM frequency range: Make sure that the FM frequency range of your radio is set correctly for your location. In some cases, FM frequencies may differ depending on your country or region.
- Check for interference: Electronic devices such as smartphones, tablets, or other nearby radios may cause interference with your radio's ability to pick up FM stations. Try turning off nearby electronics or moving your radio to a different location to see if this improves reception.
- Manually tune to specific frequencies: If the automatic scan is not working, try manually tuning your radio to specific FM frequencies to see if you can pick up any stations.

If none of these steps work, it's possible that there may be a problem with the radio's internal components. In that case, you may want to contact Pyle customer support for further assistance.

SW reception is very poor. Can receive no Ham operators only powerful broadcasts like Havanna. AM not bad, FM fair.

SW transmission depends on an atmospheric layer called the ionosphere. The density of ionized atoms present in the layer is dependent on the light from the sun and on solar activity. The rule of thumb is to tune in to the larger meter bands ( 49m, 41 m, 31m, 25m ) in the evening and at night and the shorter meter (31m, 25, 21, ...16, 10) bands in the day.

To tune in to a particular signal you need to know the exact frequency and the broadcast time. You can search the Internet for the frequencies of a particular radio station and the times when that station is broadcasting in direction of your region.

Need to use my car radio frequency for my dvd (make is unknown) player but can't figure out which station!

You want to pick a frequency where there isn't an existing station, so the radio will have a clear signal from the dvd player.

If the DVD player only has a few frequencies to choose from, then tune the radio to each one (with the DVD player turned OFF) and see which one has the most static and the least signal from radio stations in your area.

If the DVD player can be set to any frequency, then just pick a frequency (usually down on the "88" side of the FM band) with the least local signal, then set your DVD player to use that frequency.

Does this make sense? Feel free to ask questions with the "add comment" link.

Radio for Sandisk model SDMX1

Press the AB button to toggle between Audio Play, Radio, and Voice Record. Use the left/right scroll to highlight Radio. Then press the center button or play/pause button once to select radio.

You will see FM Radio in the upper left corner of the display. Under that you will see either Preset followed by a number OR Channel. If it is on Preset, you can use the left/right scroll to switch between preset stations. If you press and hold the AB button, the player will scan through all frequencies to find the strongest stations in your area and set those as the default preset stations. When on a particular station, press and hold the record button to delete that station from your presets.

Press the center button once to switch to Channel (or back to Preset). Under Channel, you can manually scroll through the frequencies yourself. Push left or right and hold for about a second to find the next available station.

Press the play/pause button once to toggle between Mono and Stereo.

Those are all the functions I've found so far. Hope it helps.

Good luck,
vw
