Refrigerator side too warm

Refrig side was freezing lettuce, so we turned it down one notch. now it's too warm, but when we set it back to a cooler setting it doesn't cool above 50 degrees. is there a reset or something?

I have a GE(PSS26MSTSS) Profile refrigerator. The temperature in the all the bins is much cooler than the set temperature. The food is freezing in those drawers. Is the damper that controls the air from...

thats because when you open the door ALL the cold air rushes out.(the bins stop this effect)use a thermometer in the middle bin and adjust the running temp accordingly, this will also stop your lettuce from freezing.

Fridge freezing up

Check the fridge sensor. On my Hoover HNMF2805AL80 f/f, first I replaced control module - still freezing.
Have just replaced cheap fridge temperature sensor. Part No. 97061619. Trouble is you have to cut into insulation at back of fridge to replace. I just plugged in sensor & placed inside fridge at back at the bottom - so far so good, only lettuce freezing now, everything else v. cold but not frozen. :)

Frs23h5asb6 is freezing food on refrigerator side. Turned refigerator control off, still is 33.5 deg. Took out all bags to increase air flow. Is thermostat bad?

first of all are you talking about summer or winter, i dont know what state you live in. the weather and humidity play a big part on your unit,is your kitchen as warm as in is is winter,if not turn down the freezer control down ,turn on refrigator control 1/4 of the way.until you get both sides of the unit working at the right temperatue.you may have to adjust the settings a few times.using the freezer and refrigerator controls back and forth. also in the summer you can usually back down the controls to adjust in the temperatue change. no more frozen lettuce in your fridge,i hope.,,,,,,,,dave

Water wont dispense but still makes ice. Also fridge side gets extremely cold no matter the settings and freezes stuff in the bottum drawers

Since your freezer control is the main thermostat , and your refrig control is only a damper , lower your freezer setting and turn the refrig control mid way . This will make the refrig run less , and keep the air flow moving , throughout the complete unit . When the airflow stops , by turning down the refrig control ( closing the damper ) , all the cold air will settle in the refrig section , thereby freezing everything in the lower section .
Since the water line runs thru the freezer door , too cold in the freezer section , will cause the water in the line to freeze . I would also suggest installing a dispensor heater ( pt. # WR49X10173 ) , which would hopefully avoid water line freeze , in the future . This part comes with installation instructions .

HELP!!__CALLING ANY GE FACTORY TECHS

You say " all thermistors check fine " , how did you check them ? Did you check for the 5-8 DC volts at the main control board , for the thermistors ? Did you do the diagnostic check for the thermistors from the control panel ? I'm sure you know there are 5 thermistors , since the refrig has the dual evap . Possibly the # 5 is bad , since it is the freezer temp " controller " , yet if it tells the board it's not cold enough , it still sends refrigerant to the refrig evap . Since the refrig evap has 2 fan motors , can't remember if there is a damper there also . Maybe when the # 3 thermistor is satisfied , it only cuts the fans off , even though refrigerant is still going thru the refrig evap .

Water is freezing when it runs down the water trough to my ice maker. I have the Freezer settings pretty low (my options are A the warmest, B or C the coolest and I have it between A and B). Are there...

The refrig water valve , is seeping . This means that it isn't closing completely , letting a slow drip run down the fill tube and freezing . Replace the water valve (piece the wall water line connects to on the back of the refrig ) and I believe this will solve the problem .
