The touch control on our fagor hob will only work if we put something like a teatowel or kitchen towel between our finger and the hob. The hob is clean and grease free.

Our hob has the same problem. I would really like to know the reason for this! Try using a rubber eraser instead of your finger - this works every time with our hob. Covering Up and Down arrows with the rubber, zeros it instantly just like using both fingers. Hope this helps.

Error F14 on a Hotpoint induction hob typically indicates a problem with the touch control panel. Here are a few things you can try to fix this error:
Disconnect the power supply to the hob for a few minutes, then reconnect it and see if the error persists.
Try cleaning the touch control panel with a soft, dry cloth to remove any dirt or grime that may be causing the error.
If the problem persists, you may need to reset the touch control panel. To do this, you will need to locate the reset button, which is usually located underneath the hob or inside the control panel. Press and hold the reset button for a few seconds, then release it and see if the error persists.
If these steps don't fix the problem, it's possible that the touch control panel is faulty and will need to be replaced. You may need to contact a professional for this repair.
I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.
I take it the two fuses you mention were the house fusebox and the fuse in the outlet in your kitchen?
If you know the mains is getting to the hob and nothing at all is lighting up on the panel then this sounds like a job for the professionals.
I can't find any mention of a reset button or user acessable fuse in the manual.
The only thing left to do is check the main wire connection underneath the hob - if it is accessable. (switch off at the wall first!)

Error code 22 on a Defy Slimline hob usually indicates an issue with the touch control panel or power supply. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue:
Turn off the power to the hob at the circuit breaker for a few minutes, and then turn it back on. This can reset the electronics in the hob and clear the error.
Check the hob's power supply. Make sure the hob is getting power from the electrical outlet or circuit breaker. If the hob is plugged in, try plugging it into a different outlet or resetting the circuit breaker.
Check the touch control panel. Sometimes, the error code can be caused by a problem with the touch control panel. Make sure the panel is clean and free of debris or moisture. If the panel is damaged, it may need to be replaced.
Contact a qualified technician. If the above steps don't resolve the issue, it may be a more serious problem with the hob's electronics or power supply. Contact a qualified technician or the manufacturer for further assistance.
F means foreign object. In my case a dish towel covered about 10% of the touch panel, so it is really sensitive. In your case just see if anything is on top, or it may be that your stove is tricked into believing the front panel can't be used because something is covering it.
gud day,the ceramic hob is very sensitive to operate if u not read the manual.after u unlock the switch go to the control of the hob wat area u want to operate by touching the sensor then if u see the zero # touch again the area, positive side to increase the heat 1-9 the standard control heat.some model & brand have a different operational procedure, try to read the manual 1st or check the voltage of the unit coz the ceramic have a 4voltage standard for different country. tnx gerbee
You press the "on" which is on the left. Press the picture of hob you require and press the up and down for temperature. Then put your pan on the hob and it will work. If you need to adjust the temp you need to remove the pan.
