SOURCE: How do I replace the belt that makes the drum spin on a Hotpoint Ultima WF860 ?

The belt goes around the drum and onto the motor pulley. No need to loosen anything. Put tension on the belt and fit it onto the motor pulley by gently turning the motor and pushing the belt onto the pulley at the same time.

Remove the lower rear inspection panel and tilt the machine forward, keep it tilted by placing a tin of peas or something under it at the rear. Now put a shallow bowl or dish under the sump to catch any water that may still be it the drum and remove the retaining clip. Pull the hose free from the tub and the filter is inside. My hotpoint wf430 when i programme for a wash it doesnt fill up with water, just makes a low buzzing noise.could pipes be frozen.

Could well be the case, there have been a lot of problems with frozen waser pipes.
Try wrapping hot cloths round pipe/s to see if that solves the problem.

Single imput model. no drying type.

You can put hot water in if you need to, but not recommended unless it is a hot and cold fill washer.
If it has one single inlet, then it must be connected to the cold supply, otherwise, you will be rinsing the clothes in hot water
Hope this helps you.

HOTPOINT ULTIMA WF860

image_bubbleanswer_04.gif I recently had the same problem with my Hotpoint Ultima WF860P and after some investigations, I found a disconnected tube linked to the pressure switch beneath the top cover was the cause of the problem. In short, this tube forces air to the pressure switch and cuts off the valve feeds.
