Sounds like you have a RAID. Take a look at the RAID management software and see if the RAID is degraded. If it is degraded you probably have a bad drive on your hands. Replace the drive and the RAID should rebuild. If it is not degraded. I would turn the server off for a sec remove all the drives and blow out the RAID carriage. I tend to do this anyway on our servers every quarter to keep the system clean and cool. Hopefully this helps.

I guess it's difficult to get free ************ for your office, but you can get a much cheaper one from www.vanskeys.com, I got my key from this site and its low price surprised me a lot. You can go this site to have a try.
Your hard drive has a problem and needs to be formatted. this has happened to me twice already but not with the original hard drive that came with the ps3, I changed mine to a 500 gig drive which had the problems.
the bad news is that you have lost everything that you saved onto the drive and need to reformat and reinstall the ps3 operating system.
If you go through the system settings there is an option to format the drive. Do that. Then you need to get a USB flash drive, and follow the steps below
Download the update and save the file to a compatible storage device such as Memory Stick, Memory Stick Duo, a USB or PSP.
Before starting, use your PC to create a folder named "PS3" in the storage media or USB. In this folder, create a folder named "UPDATE" (the folder name is case sensitive and must appear in capital letters). Once the UPDATE folder is created, download and store the update for PS3 system software.
Once the update saved, remove the storage media and connect to your PS3 via the slots under the slot cover, or USB, depending on the storage medium used.
Once the storage media connected, go to Settings on the home menu of the PS3, select System Update, then update via Storage Media. Select the storage media connected to the PS3 installs the update data stored there.
