I can't see PREviews anymore on my Cannon Power Shot A560 of still pics I'm taking. I still have REviews and menus as well as it works fine during video (shooting & review). Is there a setting...

Yep, sounds like you just accidentally pressed the DISP or DISPLAY button on the back of your camera. This turns the screen on and off to save batteries (you would then use the optical viewfinder in its place). To turn the screen back on, just press the DISP button one more time with the camera on.

My camera is a cannon power shot A560 and the lens wont open. How do i fixed it

Lens errors are fairly common. Usually it's sand or grit interfering with the lens extension mechanism. Or the camera's been dropped with the lens extended. Or the camera has been powered on, but the lens had been blocked preventing its extension. Or the battery ran down with the lens extended ... Unfortunately, many cameras that fall prey to this can only be corrected by professional repair. But, here are some things that you can do that may correct it. They only seem to work for less than 40% of the lens errors, but if the camera is out of warranty, they're worth a try.

I am trying to add the date/time stamp so that it appears on the picture and can't seem to do this.I have the Cannon Power Shot A560

The date and time (and a lot more) are stored with every picture in its EXIF metadata. Any photo viewing/editing program should be able to display this data. To print this data, please consult the documentation for whatever program you're using to print your pictures. Depending on the program and printer you may print the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back.

What is the proper sequence in setting up self Timer I lost my instruction book. I never used timer in the past; I have a cannon power shot A560. I go to menu and scroll to timer set 10 sec and 2 shots....

First you press the self timer button. Then press the shutter button to start the timer.

Did you accidentally hit the lower left "Disp" button on the back of your camera? It manually turns the screen on or off to save batteries. Turn the camera on and press it once to check.
