You can remove or change the Window's User or administrator's password. You need access to a computer with Internet access to download the Hiren's Boot CD and burn it onto a CD. Then insert this CD into the laptop/computer and boot up the laptop/computer with the Hiren's CD and follow the instructions. There are very useful utilities CD and it a Linux boot CD which contains quite a lot of Utility programs including a password removal program. Double check to make sure you entered the code correctly. Zeros look like O's and vise versa. Also, B's look like 8's....

You might be in luck! There are disk restoration utilities that you can use to get back deleted items. The important thing to do right now is to NOT TRY TO SAVE ANYTHING ELSE TO IT. Any changes you try to make to it right now could get rid of these files forever. First, download a disk restoration utility. I like using this one:

You can find the download link at the top of that page. To use that utility you must be running Windows XP or earlier. There are many other utilities just like it if you are using another operating system. Here is a place where you can find a few others that might work. (I have never personally used any of them; I would recommend the first if you can use it.)

Once you download and install the utility, making sure NOT to download it to the memory card you are trying to recover, the utility should let you search through the deleted files on that memory card and let you restore the files. Each one is a little different, but they should all work about the same:
1) Use the utility to scan the disk or card for deleted items 2) Select which one(s) you want to restore 3) Select "restore by copying" or something similar if using another utitliy 4) That's it!
Hope all works out. Again, if you have already tried to save or modify the data on the memory card, you may not be able to get them back, but it is definitely worth a shot. Best of luck!

There are many disk/media recovery utilties that will attempt to recover accidentally deleted files: a 'free' utility is RECUVA and there are many others - use them at your own risk but always specify to recover to a different directory!

You must disable all automated cleanup/defrag utilities until you recover the files. Do not also run any disk cleanup utilities until you undelete the files and minimises installation of new programs.

you can try to download the version you had if you remember which one it was. If you do go to google and type in power dvd the version and it should come up.

I have a son-in-law that works on PC he came up, and check to see if I had a virus

there was none. So he went back 2 mo.and reloaded what I deleted and here I
must have deleted something of I shouldn't have.
It's up and running smooth again.
