SOURCE: My washing machine keeps tripping

Frequent tripping means a short in the machine. Disconnect from the supply and locate the drain plug somewhere at the bottom of the machine. You should be able to drain off the water and then open the door manually. Be prepared for a lot of water to be released. The fault will have to be fixed by a service engineer.

SOURCE: samsung washing machine - no power

checked internal wiring and found that when the machine went out of balance the counter balance on the top of the agitator drum had squashed the power wire against the the top rib of the frame causing the wire to short circuit and blow the power fuses to the house.
rejoined the power witr and relocated it above the rib frame so as to eliminate any further possibility of this happening again.
I believe this is either a design fault with the machine or it was incorrectly installed at the time of manufacture

My machine would not switch on this morning, no beeps or lights, I traced it to a small fuse on the main circuit board. you get to the board by disconecting from the mains, removing 2 crosshead screws at the back of the machine and lifting the top of the machine off ( once screws out, slide top of machine back about 1cm and then it just lifts off. You can now see the main circuit board, behind the control panel on front of machine. the fuse is hard to see and is solderd to the board on the lower left side, I solderd onto both ends of the fuseand replaced with a 10 amp HRC fuse, I still need to find the correct fuse rating, this worked for my machine.
However, and its a big however, If the 13amp fuse in youre plug blew and the trip on youre consumer unit, then I would imagine something big (pulling a large current) has gone down in youre machine to cause all these to blow, anyway hope this helps, Robin.

Why does my Brandt top loader washing machine WTC9670 keep on making fuse box trip?

The modern fusebox contains two types of breaker; the micro circuit breaker (mcb) that replaces the old fashioned fuse and the residual current device (rcd) and which one trips indicates the type of fault.
The mcb trips in response to an overloaded circuit or short circuit and the rcd trips when current leaks from the circuit to ground.

When a washing machine does this there is a strong possibility some water has found a way to mix with the electrics. The first task will be to examine the power cord and then to remove whatever covers can be removed for a close examination of the internals looking for evidence of water...

Washing machine trip the breaker.

When it comes to home electrical make sure that when you plug into a electrical socket that the plug is tight in the socket. If the plug is not tight in the socket, have the socket replaced with a new socket.worn out sockets can trip breakers, throw sparks and cause fires.

Washing machine wont work

If it's more than 6 years old, it's time for a new one. Or maybe you blew out your fuses. Try resetting the fuse box and switch off and on. Then after you switch back the power, go and try to turn on washing machine again.

Hotpoint WDM 73 keeps tripping ringmain when powered on

I suspect that the problem is probably being caused by a fault on the dryer element or thermostat.
Remove the top cover and disconnect the heater, and see what happens..
If it does not trip, then prob is the dryer element or stat.
Hope this helps.

I have a Bosch Exxcel 1400 S Express which blew

There is no internal fuse in the washer to replace.
If you have replaced the fuse, make sure that is is a good one.
If you are satisfied that you have power to the washer, then I'm afraid it sounds quite serious.
Trust this helps.
