My psp2004 does not read game umd's anymore:( what to do

Several things can cause this. The lens might be scratched up, or the umd might be scrached. The laser might not work anymore, or the entire mechanism could be shot. You have to give WAAAY more info than "my psp won't read umds"

sony can fix it for a price though, call sony

i thnk u should ask ur psp store...

bcoz f u wnt 2 fix it on ur own..

it sounds like the laser is out of adjustment you will need to send it in or if your warranty is still good have it warrantied

it might be that your lens that reads the psp is dirty so it cant read them

I Had the same problem, open the umd door, on the right side of the black circle is a litle switch that is pushed when you insert the umd, mine was stuck, I Hope it fix yours

UMD games play on any unit, the movies are regional.

tiny scratches & finger prints can stop them playing look carefully at the disc.

do the discs load ok? no mechanism damage?

Try another UMD disc. If it also gives an error, chances are the lens of the drive got damaged from the fall.
