Master code can only be used with a remote....... press enter then 5415 then enter agin it wont show on screen so give a sec or two afer each number you enter worked fine on mines

the monitor.If u still continue with this problem
look in the product website which will provide
you with the sokution.It is available on the net.
Just enter your product and the model number
it will list you with the various options.From that
u can select the one which you are looking for.

after using master password create a new password now u can unlock it........shore

I think if you entered more than 5 times it will not unlock by yourself. Only u contact manufactuer for unlock the device. Also contact this email for more help

You need to go to your nearest service center. They will unlock it for you.
Welcome to Fixya! You will need to Contact Sony Either Via the Web or their Customer Service Line to get the Manual Reset Code for this Model. Each Sony has a Different Unlock code so the Master may not work on Certain Models as is the Problem with yours. Please Rate My Response! Thanks!
Sony XAV-77 is not a Sony Model # could it be Sony XAV7M or XXAV7W?
The code will be present in the manual.
If you dont have manual you need to contact dealer to get the code .
There is no other way to get the unlock code .
The code is five numbers, but there is no fixed code, your pin was set and assigned when you purchased the unit.
If you have lost the pin code the only way out is contacting the seller, that can access the code associate with your unit, the ony alternative is trying all 99999 codes.

SONY DVD monitor XAV-77 requesting lost PIN CODE. The manual has been lost. Sony answer is to take it to their repair shop and be charged for product support. Apparently its a serious of command keys from the remote and the unit itself. These series of command will unlock or clear the internal memory of the unit and make way for another, they are just not willing to give it. If I could get intructions on what keys to press that would be great.

This unit has only got four segments to enter the pin. If you move forward one to the next digit after enter the first four digits it just comes back to the first one. I have also tried 0000, 1111, 2222, 3's and so forth all the way to 9999 and it still wont open. The original installer 3 years ago don't keep records of such pins we've tried already, and Sony won't give the product support necessary. Awaiting further instructions.

Its in a 2004 Honda Integra, as for the serial number its has been installed for 3 years. I'll have a look. Is there a master code to unlock?

Sony Australia Product support is not willing to hand out the code for free. They've adviced me to take it to their repair shop to be charged $80 to reset the unit. The code is a four digit pin and even if I press the reset button on the unit it still request the code or reset pin. The pin was in the original manual which has been misplaced. Does anyone know what the master reset pin is?
