Lexmark 7100 printer is not seen by windows

CDs for the X7100 Series The part numbers of the CDs for the X7100 Series are:
21H0260: CD-1 (Installation software and user's guides for Windows)
21H0290: CD-2 (Installation software and user's guides for Macintosh) It is however not necessary to have the install CD's. The latest driver is often only available for download from the Lexmark website and is not found on the CD. It seems that the driver was not compatible with windows 7 operating system but only few manufacturer produces driver for their hardware for windows 7 but  I have seen many hardware driver meant for windows vista work in windows 7.


Anyway, here is the driver for your Lexmark X2600 Inkjet printer 

For windows 7 32-bit edition :

Download the drivers according to your operating system bit and installed.

This will make your Printer alive again.

Maybe you didn't configure the port.

To do this you must go to properties of the printer then try to locate the port output. LPT1, LPT2... the default value is LPT1.

Make sure you have the right driver. You can find it on Lexmark's web site. Go to www.lexmark.com and click on DRIVERS AND DOWNLOADS. Then use the DRIVER FINDER. In SEARCH BY MODEL, type in 7100 and you can choose the appropriate Vista driver from there.
