Have taken the speakers with the amplifiers (NAD 35 watt and Arcam Delta 290 75 watt) back to the shop they were sold by but could not replicate the fault !! Only different was speaker placement and power supply. Back home same problem every time. Spoke to Boston acoustics who tried to be helpful but do not have a solution. As I do not have the receipt I cannot get them checked/fixed under warranty.
It sounds like the speaker cones(if that is what they have) get hung up against the back of the case. No vibration=no sound. Check to see that there is no hum adding to the pressure on the speakers. Check to see that the speakers are hooked to the correct impedence output of the amplifier. Also, wire length affects impedence and shortening the wires might help.
Hi thanks for your input. Checked the position of the cone when sound cuts out and the cones are momentarily right at the back of their movement. If the cones are getting hung up against the the back of the case what is the solution? New info this issue only happens when the speakers have warmed up i.e. not from cold, which explains why it did not do it in the shop.
UpUpdate (2) sound cuts out only when both speakers are connected to amplifier/s
The cones may be stretched out, too soft for the power of the amps>

Distorted sound from the Soundbar.
Change the Trim Level switch setting to a higher number.
Check the signal source to be sure the distortion is not originating there. <<<<<<<<<
The woofer seems to have interference with its wireless signal.
Try changing settings of the Wireless ID switches on both the soundbar and bass unit. <<<<<<<<
The bass unit could be too far from the soundbar to get a good signal. Try moving it closer.
What is the source device that results in static? How is it connected?
