I cannot get my HPPavilion DV76179US to broadcast bluetooth

I have a HP laptop that has bluetooth built in and I cannot figure out how to connect them. Under add hardware, it sees the headset and will show it under the devices. When I right click on the headset and bluetooth properties, I get a popup message that says Intel Bluetooth Service View has stopped working. Can anyone give me any help here?

SOURCE: I purchased 2 Coby MP600.

Hello.
I will suggest you to try to connect it to your PC on different USB-port first. If all the USB hub gives you the same message, then try to connect it on another computer/laptop. This is to make sure if the USB-cable is working properly or not.

And if you get the same 'Device is not plugged currently' message when trying it on different USB hub and different PC, you'll have to update your MP3's driver.

How to connect to laptop

Using a wireless mouse with a laptop is a convenient way to avoid using the laptop's built in mouse.

Moreover, even if you use an external mouse, carrying a wireless mouse is easier than the wired version.
Here is how to use a wireless mouse with a laptop.

Ensure that your laptop is compatible with a wireless mouse.
Most wireless mice use Bluetooth technology.
Any Bluetooth enabled laptop can connect to a Bluetooth wireless mouse.
Unpack your mouse and insert batteries to the battery chamber.
While doing so, make sure that the positive side of the battery is inserted into the positive niche in the compartment.

Place the mouse in a way that makes it easy for you to use and less stressful for your fingers.
Use a wireless receiver if your laptop does not have an built in wireless receiver (either Bluetooth or 802.11b).
It should be kept at least eight inches away from the laptop or any other object that would cause any interference.

Insert the drivers, if any, for the mouse to function properly.
Connect your receiver to the laptop by plugging in the mouse's USB connector to the USB port of the laptop.
If you do not have any free USB ports, simply use an external USB hub for more ports.

Can not turn on the wireless capability for the HP 2133 and there is no key and I don't know the function key either

Step 1:
Enable Bluetooth on a HP Mini b> The HP Mini has built-in Bluetooth capabilities that allow you to connect keyboards, mice and other Bluetooth-enabled accessories without using wires. Before you use the Bluetooth on an HP, you first need to enable it. Powering the Bluetooth on the computer on is easy to do, however, and should only take a few

Click on the start menu from your computer's desktop. Select "All Programs" from the options on the Start menu. Choose "My Bluetooth Places" from the program menu. Choose "Power On" from the menu when it appears. Select "Search for new devices" from the menu to locate and connect your Bluetooth accessories to your Mini.

I Don't see my Bluetooth settings and should i look for Bluetooth software?

First check whether your notebook has an in-built Bluetooth module or not. To do this, you can follow the steps below: 1. Click Start/Pearl button and type ?Device Manager? in search field. 2. Double click on ?Device Manager? from the results listed. 3. Click on arrow beside Bluetooth Radios. Check whether HP Integrated Modules with Bluetooth 2.1 Wireless Technology is listed under Bluetooth Radios. If listed, then your notebook has an in-built Bluetooth module. You can refer the following documents to Set Up Bluetooth Connections on your notebook: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&product=3768347&lang=en&docname=c01948661 http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&product=3768347&lang=en&docname=c01065493 Understanding Bluetooth Wireless Technology: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01060335&tmp_task=solveCategory&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&product=3768347&lang=en Fixing Bluetooth Problems: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01590950&tmp_task=solveCategory&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&product=3768347&lang=en

Me hp's bluetooth is not working

Look at the product information here.
It seems that your HP laptop does not have built in Bluetooth capability.
If you want to add that, you have to buy a Bluetooth adapter. I am using this one and I'm very happy with it. It is Vista compatible, really cheap and very small, so I can leave it plugged in all the time without having to fear to loose it when I put my laptop in a bag.
