I followed the instructions verbatim and replaced cover. After connecting power supply and peripherals, the computer just continuosly beeps. What should I do?
Some PCs especially old ones can't have higher RAM. limit it to its own requirement. It has to do with is own BIOS. Old BIOS can't not have higher RAM. Check also if the RAM you've replaced is not defective, if then, replace it with good ones. good luck.
Usually there is a pattern to the beeps, but more than likely it is a problem with the ram you just installed. Where did you get it from? I checked with crucial.com and that is the right type of ram, but you may have a bad stick.
