Panoramic Pictures My new camera will not let me access the panoramic picture mode. I have done all the manual says, which is to insert a memory card. Said card is empty and takes normal pictures perfectly, but not panoramic. I have tried changing the quality, and different scenes all to no avail. Please help!!

If I remember my last Olympus camera it would only work in Panorama mode with an official Olympus memory card. No third party cards would enable that feature. My instructions read "An Olympus xD-Picture Card is required for panorama shooting." If you are using an official Olympus xD-Picture card, there may be a problem with your camera.

What can I do to access certain items in my Record menu of my Panasonic Lumix DMC F300?

Some of these functions are not available when other options are set on the camera. HDR and handheld night mode aren't available if you are saving the images with the Quality set to RAW or either RAW + JPEG option. It doesn't work with still pictures when in movie mode. HDR is also not compatible with the Time Lapse Shot or Auto Shoot in Stop-Motion Mode. I'm not sure if there are similar limits with the Panoramic shot mode.

See the advanced manuals available on the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ300 product page, http://shop.panasonic.com/cameras-and-camcorders/cameras/lumix-point-and-shoot-cameras/DMC-FZ300K.html , for these restrictions. The direct link to the manual is currently ftp://ftp.panasonic.com/camera/om/dmc-fz300_en_adv_om.pdf . Page 78 covers the Handheld Night Shot and page 126 covers the HDR mode. Look in the box with the blue background for these limits.

I hope this helps.

How do I take panoramic photos on a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS3, have done it before, but forgotten how to set it up.

Enter "setup" mode, and switch from "picture" or "video" to "panoramic". Take a picture, move the camera, and take another picture. Follow the on-screen instructions when you have finished taking the segments.

My olympus e volt 500 will not display image when in shoot mode

There is a little button on the back, marked 'info'. Press it to switch from picture view to settings view. It also operates the viewfinder.

Olympus also has a good photo editing program that is free and it allows you to edit photos and stitch pictures taken pn panoramic mode into one panoramic picture. It's called Olympus Master.

Can I only view a panoramic series if I print out the photos? No way to view it digitally on computer? Thanks, rj

You can view panoramic pictures on the computer. If your panoramic pictures have not been combined, their is software that can do that for you. Here is a free panorama stitching software from microsoft that you can try:

I don't have a problem as much of a question.. does the nikon n65 do panaramic pictures?

Not in the camera, but you could shoot a panoramic and crop it later. That is what most of the panoramic camera of that era did anyways. Use your widest lens.

How to use the panoramic function in my olympus 1050 SW.

I won't say it's in the manual.

Turn the selector to the square "camera" icon (just above AUTO).

Press the Menu button, select Panorama. Choose Combine In Camera 1.

Point your camera at the left or right side of whatever you are taking the picture of and press the shutter button. A flashing icon appears with arrows pointing left-and-right. Pan the camera left or right (your choice) as if to take the next shot in the panorama ... a blinking diamond appears and then a square box - keep moving the camera until the diamond enters the square box, the camera will automatically take the next photo. Move the camera again in the same direction, another diamond and square box appear and the photo is automatically taken as before.

To take another panorama shot, repeat this entire procedure, beginning with the Menu selection.

Panoramic pictures??

A panoramic photo on 35mm film is just cutting off the top and bottom. even if you can't set the camera that way, you can ask your local photo store to print any shot that way for you. Usually 2x the price of 4x6.
