Water is either hot or cold

Sounds like the faucet was installed incorrectly. If it is a single post type. Has a large nut in center underneath sink. If the handle and spout aren't lined up to the front it can have this result. Hope it helps.

You bought two cold water faucets. The threads are reverse on the hot water faucet. Exchange the wrong one at the store you bought it from.

The first thing to check is if the hot and cold lines are crossed. If they are correct the water should get cold when turning the thermostatic handle clockwise and hot when turning counter clockwise. The next thing to check is if the handle is properly justified. Properly installed the temperature will be 100 deg. when the handle lever is pointed down at six o'clock. If not properly justified it will increase the possibility of the handle not staying in place. If you need further help feel free to call Hansgrohe Tech at 1-800-334-0455.

Not sure about your particular valve, but most newer shower valves have an anti-scald limiter that stops the handle from turning too far to the hot water side. Check for a ring or a pin under the handle that can be set in different positions. It will need to be moved clockwise to allow the handle to rotate farther to hot.

Is your shower valve a single handle. If so I would reccomend you change cartridge. To do this shut off water to valve or house. Remove center cover on valve handle,most of these are just friction fit so gently pry off with knife point or small screwdriver. Remove handle by pulling straight out,then remove chrome cover that fits around outside of valve. Ther is a small copper retaing clip that holds valve in place. It should have a small hole in tab that is on top of valve. Grasp this with pliers and pull up to remove. Then remove cartridge by pulling on cartridge stem. If it's doesn't come out you can get a moen cartridge puller at hardware store. Remove old cartridge,install new one and reinstall retaing clip. Reinstall chrome cover and handle.Turn water back on and try shower valve to see that cold is on the right side. If it's not remove handle and turn center stem 180 degrees.This will change cold side to right. Put handle back on with cover and you sould be done. Hope this helps. Thanks

This is a very simple fix. NOTE: This is for a Posi-temp model only!! First turn off the house water. Relieve the water pressure at a nearby sink. Then remove the handle from the faucet. Remove the black plastic piece, then the two white plastic pieces (these control how hot the water gets by controlling how far the handle turns), then the metal cover over the center piece of the valve. Once these are out of the way, there is a small metal clip that you can see that holds the cartridge in place sitting in a **** on the top of the center piece. Remove this carefully with a small straight edge screwdriver, taking care not to lose it. Then with a small pair of pliers, pulling on the center of the cartridge, pull straight out. Once the cartridge is completely out, turn it counter clock wise, 180 degrees and then reverse the process. The hot/cold will be in proper location now.
Now for an older style, simply take the handle off, turn the center portion of the cartridge 180 degrees counter clock wise and return the handle. Hot/cold will now be in their proper locations.

On this valve the hot/cold in reverse is easy enough to fix, but the faucet dripping at the handle is another issue. To reverse the hot and cold, turn off the house water, relieve the pressure by opening a nearby faucet. Once the water stops, remove the handle and faucet cover so you can see the valve. then the four screws that are visible need to be removed. Mark one of the screw holes with a crayon or pencil and then remove by pulling straight out. Once out, inspect the main o-ring right behind where it sits against the valve, (if this is damaged, it might be why the handle area is leaking) then turn the whole assembly clockwise 180 degrees then insert straight back in and insert screws. Tighten screws until snug. Turn water back on before installing cover and handle to check for leaks. If no leaks are found, install cover and handle and check for proper position of hot and cold. If there are leaks, tighten screws in clockwise rotation tightening each screw a quarter turn, then moving to the next one until dripping stops. If dripping is from center of stem, where the handle attaches, you will need to contact Price Pfister to request a replacement. They are very good to work with. Good luck.

On a single lever shower handle, when the handle is pointing straight down the water is off. The handle will then rotate 270 degrees to the right through cold - warm - hot. What has happened is when you took the other handle off the new handle didn't go into the same position as the old one. So now when the handle stops at the down position the valve is still open probable running cold water. The fix is to take the handle back off. Rotate the valve into the off position so that water stops flowing and reinstall the handle pointing down. Now when you rotate the handle to the right you will get cold then warm then hot at 270 degrees and back to off when the handle is pointing back straight down. If you are still having problems please let me know and we will examine it a little closer.

The rest of ur house water in the showers fine?
If not they must install a prv (Presure reducing velve) on the cold going to the house and geyser befor it t,s of to the house and even if the rest of the house water is fine u must ask ur plumber who intalled it if he took the cold water going to the new shower strait of the mains if so he must corect it by t-ing in at the right cold water supply or put a velve on the cold water to ruduse the cold presure . then u will have more hot presure and that means lovely hot shower

The cartridge sounds like it was put in 180 degrees out.
Pull it back out, and rotate 180 degrees and re-install & try that.
