SOURCE: Treadmill powers off when pressing Incline Increase "br 1" error

You may have a beltand deck problem. Test by the following procedure:
without the poweron stand on the walking belt, push the belt in the, direction it normally turns. If the belt is very difficult to turn (on most treadmill this means that you have high belt/deck friction I first apply silicone lubricant between the belt & deck to see if that clears up the problem. Most problems originate from the belt and deck 75 to 85% of the time

SOURCE: Machine shuts off when i press incline up. Belt and board look ok

THis sounds like a controller board problem. In many of the treadmills I have seen the same board controls the drive motor and the incline motor. If this product is under warranty have the company covering the warranty check it out. Anytime you buy one of these machines buy the extenced warranty. I was a field service tech for a warranty company. When you call in with a problem make it sound severe.. I have replace almost everything in one except the frame just to make a customer happy. I am not sure of the error message but i seem to remember it being associated with the controller.

4.3. LUBRICATING

THE RUNNING DECK

Lubrication is the most important service activity for the

treadmill. This is absolutely essential, if the friction of the

running deck increases noticeably or the motor begins to

heat up. Lubrication intervals must under no circumstances

exceed 200 usage kilometres; we recommend relubrication

once a month. During the first 200 km of use, the running

deck must be lubricated at intervals of 50 km. Insufficient

lubrication will cause the belt, running deck and motor to

wear out and break.

NOTE! Before you start to use your treadmill, it must be

carefully lubricated per the lubrication instructions

below! NOTE! If the treadmill is not used for at least

three weeks, it must be carefully lubricated per the

lubrication instructions below!

The need for relubrication depends to a great extent on the

running styles and weight of the user: heavy user weight and

slow speed put particular strain on the device and therefore

demand greater lubrication. Use only the teflon enclosed to

lubricate the treadmill. Contact your local TUNTURI dealer

for further supplies of teflon.

NOTE! The device must under no circumstances be

lubricated with silicone!

instructions on the teflon bottle carefully.

1. Let the treadmill run at a slow speed and spray

teflon into the lubrication pipe underneath the

treadmill. The pipe is marked with a decal.

2. When teflon is applied for the first time, the

spraying time with the pressurised can should be

approximately 20 seconds. Later, a spraying time of

10 seconds is sufficient.

3. Teflon drops through the holes of the lubrication

pipe to the center of the running belt; the treadmill

is instantly ready for use.

Please ensure after each time that you relubricate your

treadmill that a strip of about 8" wide on the underside of the

running belt becomes moist with teflon oil along its whole
length. If necessary,

Lubed belt but display still says lube belt and I cant do anything how do i clear the display I have the horizon gs950t

Hi,
After lubrication you have to reset your treadmill settings. Then only the message will go off. To reset the tread mill do the following.

1. Hold the "Stop" button for three seconds to reset the treadmill and clear the current workout selection or screen. The console will reset but will save any accumulated data

2. Press and hold the "eTRAK" button for 10 seconds to reset the console date. This permanently deletes any previously accumulated data
3. Press and hold the "Stop" button while pressing the Speed "+" button. Hold for five seconds to reset the console after applying lubricant to the machine. Lubricant application is usually only necessary when you receive the "LUBE" error

Screen states Lube Belt , do not have user Manual , Where are lubrication points and what type "lube" can I use ?

hi,

It is necessary to lubricate your treadmill running deck every six months or 150 miles to maintain optimal performance. Once the treadmill reaches 150 miles, the console will display the message "LUBE" or "LUBE BELT". The treadmill will not operate while the message is showing. Hold Stop for 5 seconds to suspend message for 5 miles. Your treadmill came with a bottle of lubricant which can be used for two applications. If you need lubricant, contact Horizon Fitness. Only use lubricant provided by Horizon Fitness.

• Turn off the treadmill with the on/off switch, then unplug the power

cord at the wall outlet.

• Loosen both the rear roller bolts. (For best results, place two removable

marks on both sides of the frame and note roller position). Once the

belt is loosened, take the bottle of lubricant and apply it to the entire

top surface of the running deck. Tighten both rear roller bolts

(matching up the marks for proper position) to original position. After

you have applied lubricant, plug in the power cord, insert the safety

key, start the treadmill and walk on the belt for two minutes to spread

the lubricant.

• Lubricate the air shocks with Teflon based spray.
• Once lubrication is complete, reset the console by pressing and holding 'STOP' and Speed '+' buttons for 5 seconds.

I have the Lifecore Fitness T900HR treadmill and when my husband is running it stops. We have made sure all the connections are tight even the safety key but it still stops. When I am using the treadmill...

Their might be high friction between the belt and deck thus causing the error 1 code when your husband is on it. Try lubricating the area between belt and deck using silicone lubricant ( refer to owners manual). Then the lighter of the two "aka wife" walk on the treadmill for about 5 to 10 minutes.
This should take care of the problem if not then their is an issue with the belt and deck ( 85% of problems on treadmills are belt and deck related)

My roger black treadmill keeps tripping the eletric

This could be a lubrication issue if this treadmill has never been serviced or worn belt/ deck. The last thing I am thinking about is if the unit is turned on with nobody on the unit and trips the the breaker then you have a shorted lower board.
1. Inspect belt and deck. The deck should be smooth. The belt should have a consistent feel from side to side (a belt can be worn out without any sensory signs of a problem). If you feel deep grooves in the deck or uneven wear on the underside of the belt, part replacement is necessary. Continued use of your treadmill may damage expensive electrical components. 2. To inspect the belt and deck visually or to clean underneath the belt before applying lubricant, the belt must have the tension reduced. Loosen the tension roller by following the instructions in your owner’s manual. Do not loosen the bolts in the tension roller too far or the bolts will come out of the roller shaft. This step may not be necessary for your treadmill model or belt and deck condition. 3. Contaminants are the worst enemy of your belt and deck. Some treadmills may have an excessive accumulation of dirt and contaminants. If these are trapped during the belt lube process, significant damage will occur. If contaminant removal is necessary, loosen the belt by following step 2, lay the treadmill on its’ side, and use a nylon brush to loosen contaminants that have accumulated on the inside of the belt. Clean the deck with mineral spirits in a well-ventilated area. Allow the deck to dry before lubing or tightening the belt.
4. Lift the belt and use approximately ½ of the tube by squeezing the lube in the walking area lengthwise. Move to the opposite side of the treadmill and repeat using the remainder of the lube. Use all of the contents of a single container during application. Do not put any lubricant on any surface with which your feet make contact. The lube will spread evenly in the next step. Do not perform this step by hand. The lube is usually not harmful to the skin but has the potential to permanently stain fabric. 5. Adjust belt tension and centering following your owner’s manual instructions if you have loosened the belt to clean. LOOSENING THE WALKING BELT IS NOT NECESSARY JUST TO APPLY THE LUBE. Start the treadmill at 2-3 mph and allow to run for 5 minutes without walking on the treadmill. Check centering carefully and adjust as needed following your owner’s manual instructions. Using your treadmill’s handrails and safety switch for safety and support, walk on the treadmill at 2-3 mph. CAUTION!!! BELT MAY HESISTATE. THIS CAN CREATE AN INJURY IF BELT IS NOT PROPERLY TENSIONED! Within 5 minutes the lube will be preliminarily walked in to the backing of the belt. Damage and/or injury may occur if the belt is not properly centered and tensioned by using your owner’s manual. 5. CAUTION: Do not run on the treadmill until your are certain the belt tension and centering is correct according to your owner’s manual specifications. Make certain that there are no friction.
Go on E-Bay you may purchase a kit or a single application all of them are a silicone base lubricant so don't worry about which is the best. The application will also determine if the visual inspection and cleaning did the job and if the breaker trips then you have a belt and deck issue.
