Our remote to our DVD player stopped working. We put new batteries and still not working.
Open up your remote then separate the rubber / key pads then clean the cercuit using home dry cleaner and leave to dry close your remote gently and its fresh again. reason for this is practice is because moist cause cover between pads and circuit board and thus no contact then no function
I placed an AM radio near the remote and pressed the buttons I heard a sound that synced with the pressing of buttons., that would tell me that the remote is sending signals to the player.More than likely the problem lies with the IR receiver?

try opening it up and clean it with alcohol and soft cloth.let it dry, check the rubber buttons for breakage.assemble and try it.here a trick to know its working, if you an AM radio put the remote near it and press the buttons.while pressing change the station, you should hear a sound that sync with the pressing of buttons.

View the back of the remote for screws. Remove the batteries and make sure there's no screw there too. The top of the remote is clipped to the bottom. Use something flat to prise it open, and thoroughly wipe the surface of the board that comes into contact with the keypad, using a clean cotton cloth dipped in methylated spirits. Wipe also, the keypad. Give some time to dry and reassemble.
