Amazon.com, Inc.Kastar AC DC Adapter Plug-in Class 2 Transformer Power Supply Cord Wall .... Provides power to your device in the event you may have lost or damaged your ...
Plug the power transformer into the bottom jack on the back of the right-channel speaker. This is the speaker with the on/off knob on the front.
2
Plug the audio cable attached to the left-channel speaker into the audio jack on the back of the right-channel speaker. The jack is immediately above the jack for the power cord.
3
Plug the audio jack attached to the back of the right-channel speaker into the headphone jack on a laptop computer (usually located along the left edge), or to the audio output jack on the back of a desktop PC.
4
Plug the speaker transformer into a surge protector and the surge protector into a wall outlet.
5
Turn the on-off and volume control knob clockwise on the front of the right-channel Inspiron speaker to activate the stereo speakers and adjust the volume.
Should it be a power supply that outputs AC and converts to DC inside the speaker case, or is it a wall adapter the outputs DC straight to the built in amplifier? Some speakers have the voltage and polarity for the plug on the back of the speaker where the power lead plugs in. As they are only small speakers of probably a couple of watts it may only need about 2 Amps or less. Higher current is fine as the amp will only use what it needs to work correctly but I would'nt go below 2 Amps.
They usually use pretty standard audio cords, you can probably just get a replacement at your local Radio Shack. The only one I would be worried about is if you lost the power cord....if that's the case you need to be sure if you buy a different one that the voltage is the same as required.
From any port on a powered USB hub, you can draw up to 500 milliamps
at
5 volts. This gives two and a half watts to play with; the peak draw
of
the SP-692p probably won't exceed two watts.
oh i see the first question was way to vauge to really answer. it sounds that this is a powered speaker meaning it requires that 12v that you are reading and wont work without it. i am assuming that the cord coming from the speaker is a male end that plugs into female if that is the case it will be difficult to find an adapter to plug into the wall as those have male ends as well. if there is a female plug on the speaker you should be able to find an adapter that plugs into the wall outlet(transformer) just be sure to match up all specs i.e. 12v 1.0a
