I own a KXTG1033 aprox three months old.
Two or three times a day, all three phones will not work. Error message "too far from base" is displayed, even when the phone is next to the base.
The only way to clear the code is to physically unplug the power cord form the main base unit, and reinsert it. The phone will then work for a few hours, then when you go to use it again, no dial tone and the error code message again appears.
Inititially this happened after the first month, then weekly, now daily.
Any fixes?
Thank you
SOURCE: Almost constantly gives "no link to base" message
I had this problem too. I popped the battery out, waited 1 minute then put it back in. Unfortunately this clears the memory of all recent calls, etc. but it immediately started working again. So far its only happened once...
SOURCE: all lights on base are blinking, no dial tone
walk close to the base and check that the handset is working if it is try taking the battery out of the handset wait a moment and put it back in if that doesnt reset it you will have to look in your owners manual and see how to reset the hanset autherization so that the base will see it. if you down have a copy of the owners manual you can download a copy off the manufactuers website or manuals.com
SOURCE: Cannot hear any dial tone, but base works OK - callers get busy s
Headset says ringer off, cannot hear dial tone
SOURCE: can not get kx-t7885 to get a dial tone
How are you trying to get an outside line? By dialing 9? If the host system happens to be a TA series, you have to tell it how many lines you have, or that you don't have lines that have hardware ports but no dial tone, since systems select outside lines from the top down.
From System programming, program 400 defines connected lines.
