Battery everytime I turn my phone on it says invalid battery and will not do anything. My daughter has the same phone and I put her battery in and it says the same thing.

  • Anonymous Apr 25, 2008

My motorola v3 razr says "invalid battery" whenever i plug it i, and that is the only time it will work. I got a new battery and it still said the same thing. the people at motorola said that moisture was in the phone because the dot on the back was red. i asked some of my friends if the dot on theirs was red and they all said yes and their phone works fine. After about a week or two, it will finally say "charging" but it will only charge half-way and once it dies, or i turn it off, it will go back to saying "invalid battery." Any help please?

My experiences with that problem is that u need a new battery. Try and purchase a new one and see if that solves u r problem. did u try u r daughter's battery in u r phone ? Maybe u should...If the problem persist it's possible that u r phone might be faulty.

In my experiences invalid battery usually means that the phone is liquid damaged. You will need to get a new phone.

Keep getting download message

You may still have water in tight places due to water surface tension. Open all the access doors, take out the SIM card, battery and anything else that is removable and put all parts in a ziplock bag. Get some dessicant bags (from old shoe boxes), cardboard pieces, saltine crackers and put them in the ziplock bag also and put on top of your microwave oven (if it is used a lot) or in the window where it gets direct sunlight. Leave it there until moisture gets on the bag then disappears again (3-5days) The dry items in the ziplock will help draw out all the moisture better than air drying. I have done this many times on cell phones, gameboys, etc. and it works everytime.

Invalid battery

Pull out the battery *while the phone is on*. Wait 15 secs then put battery back in and turn phone on. That should fix it.

Invalid Battery

Totally discharging the battery is the way to go. But what you can also do to use your phone in the meantime is this. Plug your charger into the phone withOUT your battery in. It will tell you "Unable to Charge." When it says this, put the battery in. It might tell you "Invalid Battery" a couple more times, but it did eventually say "Charging Battery" for me. After that, simply turn the phone on and it will return to normal. This is when you drain the battery completely. Once I did that, I did not get the invalid battery error again.
