It is a common fault that the drain fails to work in most machines in a period of time and is the most problematic fault in a washing machine. In all occasions it is important that your observation is most important and so is vital to the identification /rectification and solution. If you have noticed that water has leaked then as the drain hose pump/valve and fittings are located on the underside of the machine it is important that you look for possible leaks here. In some cases the drain hose would be clogged at the drain end to outlet of the house and so there will be back flushing resulting in overflow to the outside. Also the drain pump/valve can be clogged. Now remove the drain hose clamps and remove the drain pump/valve, clean the drain pump/valve, use back flushing to clear off all dirt. Now test using power to see if this works and can be simulated. When refitting, the hose must be tightened properly. If the pump/valve does not work even with power then it must be replaced. If there is intermittent power to the drain valve/pump then the program controller unit is a suspect.

Finally the washer must be placed with a tilt- use a spirit level- so that all water will drain to the outlet port and thereby there is no residual water remaining.

Replacing the pump on a Bosch machine, please check this link for tips:

Siemens SI14-44 washing machine is error coding F:18. something wrong with the emptying of the machine.... is the filter blocked? is so where can you clean out the filter?

check in the manual for the error code most of washing machine if the error code is in users manual its means its only minor problem, but if the error code is not in users manual its means you need to call an service technician to not waste your money or time if you do by your self.
F:18? if this error is for water stuck?
for the automatic washing machine mostly have drain pump, please check the filter of your drain pump, if clog your drain pump of some hair pins, cotton buds or coins or any small item, that the cause of water stuck, and it will long time draining or totally not running the drain pump.and its cause of stop of cycle of washing machine in rinse time or spin time, because after washing the pump must be on to remove water before start the next cycle.

WATER WILL NOT DRAIN OUT ERROR 21

you have blockage in the drain system-start with the drain trap-if that doesn't do it check the pump-which can get coins, bobby pins, and other stuff stuck in it-cheers Denny

Maytag front load washer problem

Two issues are there, one is that there is a possibility that coins have spilled over from trousers and could have choked that drain and the drum. You need to manually drain the water by opening the drain valve or hose and then if the door is stuck you can open the lock to have the coins removed from the drum.

Maytag Atlantis washer drain hose is over flowing during rinse cycle

It probably has some coins stuck in the pump or a kink in the hose. If the washing machine won't drain, remove the access panel, and follow drain hose into machine and to the pump. You will need something to catch the water. Take pliers and sqeeze clamp and slide away from pump. Pull hose off and drain water. Remove coins from pump inlet and reassemble. If it is overflowing where it drains into the wall, you will need a pipe snake or a plummer.

I have a Maytag Neptune TL washer that won't drain. I took the front panel off and detached the hose from the pump and there were several coins in there. I removed the coins, reattached everything and...

For the FAV6800A or FAV9800A tumbler removal.

The Service manual has the procedure starting on page 37 for the tumbler removal.

It’s not difficult to remove the manual doesn’t call out the Torx driver size required for tumbler removal. You will need a number 20 Torx driver to remove the Torx screw for tumbler removal. I would get a long Number 20 Torx driver for this. See page 37 of the Service Manual for tumbler removal. Looks worse than it is.

The Service Manual for reference. Sears Parts Direct for reference.
When I did a recent Outer Tub Bearing replacement I found $1.78 in coins after removing the wash basket. Gotta check those pockets....:)

I have a post around somewhere of my diy Sump Screen I put in my FAV6800AW to protect the drain pump impeller from coins and other stuff from breaking the impeller or causing clogs. I'll look for the post or repost the pic's.........D*ick
