Suspect broken switch on steering column...only temporary solution would be to take electrical connection plug off wiper motor under bonnet until you can fix the switch......

Check the nut, that holds the wiper arm on. It may be loose. Tighten nut and recheck. Let me know what you find.

There might be a fuse with more than just the wipers on it. Does anything else not work? A blown fuse is most likely the cause, it might be hard to locate check owners manuel for fuse locations as they can be in several locations.

SOURCE: How do I access the windshield wiper assembly?

You have to remove the wiper arms by prying off the black platic piece over the nut. Remove the nut and the wiper arms. There should be 5 places on the black plastic piece that runs the length of the windshield. Remove 4 of them by prying them out. The one is the middle is a screw. Pull away the plastic piece and you should have access to the mechanism below. I think you need to replace the linkage if it has fallen off.

Wipers will not work and fusses are good

Check the connections on the wiper motor and wiring harness. If you have a tester, turn on and check from fuse to motor for wiper for current. If current us present all the way to wiper motor, replace.

Wiper relay

Problem is in the wiper transmission. Check where the wiper motor bolts to the transmission arm (long arms that connect wiper arms to each other) sometimes the nut falls off or the plastic ball cap breaks.

Hi i have a nissan serena frnt wipers were slow then they just stopped is thiis a wiper motor problem

wipers are basically electromechanical, the motor electrical/mechanical & the wipers mechanical. before replacing the motor, lubricate the moving parts first using standard oil or WD40,
check also the wiper fuse in the fuse panel, chances are they are blown due to a heavy load to the wiper motor brought about by friction because of absence of lubricant in the mechanism. check for broken wirings leading to the wiper motor
wiper motor replacement necessary if the above solution don't work.

My 1990 nissan stanza had ice on windshield, I tured on wipers & nothing The motor runs but wipers don't

If the ice buildup was severe enough and you tried to run your wipers while they were frozen in place, the wiper transmission has probably failed, slipped a joint and now the motor will turn but it will not turn the wiper arms. You will have to open up the wiper panel and visually check to see what part has failed in that wiper transmission.

The park switch in the wiper motor is faulty, an auto electrician may be able to fix it, but possibly you may have to replace the wiper motor

1988 nissan civilian. Intermittant wipers dont work. Wipers dont return to park position when turned off.

Hi, sounds like your wiper switch has died, it's what I'd look at first, maybe talk to a wrecker & see if you can buy one, if it fixes the problem, good, if not take it back and get a wiper motor, though I don't think it'll be the motor as it should just stop altogether, hope this helps :)

Wipers stopped working, but can still hear the

Hey,
The earing that connects the wiper arm to the motor is ground down. You need to replace the wiper arms or the motor depending on which "gears" are ground down. The wiper motor is here:

Hope this helps!
