I have a PowerShot SD 110. My images have become terribly blurry; they look like there's red stuff dripping down the viewfinder.

This sounds like it might be a defective CCD imager. If so, Canon should fix this for you for free, including free shipping both ways. This is regardless of your camera's warranty status. Please check the following two links for more info:

BAD CCD problem if u take pics and those are blank and u have bought camera recently kindly run for warranty it is a bad ccd imager problem it will be replaced dont worry

I don't blame you for wanting to keep it, the A95 was and still is a great camera. This problem sounds like it might be a defective CCD imager. I had this problem a few weeks ago (i.e. flashing red LED). All I did was remove the power plug from the charging unit, turned it around 180 degrees, then plugged it back into the charging unit. Red LED came on steady & the battery (which is the one that came with the camera) recharged as normal.
