Thanks to floraq803, we have our 11000 working again. The needle threader was stuck in the down position. We turned off the machine, and turned the wheel (which controls where the needle is) until the needle threader bar was straight (approximately 1/2 way between the needle being all the way down and all the way up). Turned on the machine and the threader came back up again. Now back to sewing.

SOURCE: Janome 9000 seems to be jammed.

I had the same problem with my 9000. After my third visit to the repair shop they finally told me to always check my thread uptake lever. I have had no problems since.

SOURCE: Janome Memory Craft 7000 Sewing

My Memory Craft 7000 sometimes does the same thing, if it's very cold. Try warming it up by placing it near a heat source, a vent or a floor heater, for a few minutes. Then it works perfectly.
I've used these machines for over 20 years now, and they're my favorite!

If this doesn't solve your problem, you need to take it in for servicing.

They are work horses, but they do need their maintenance from time to time.

I hope this helps you.

The needle threader on my Janome 6260 quit working. The needle is inserted correctly.

Is the threader broken or just not meeting the needle eye? If broken, it can most likely be repaired.

If the threader is not meeting the needle eye, adjust the needle height so the threader meets the eye and intercept the thread. I have a 60's machine with a threader that needs the needle height manually adjusted because the needle does not stop in any particular place. Usually, if I raise the needle to its highest, the threader will work.

Automatic needle threader stuck

You may have a thread stuck in your bobbin area. Remove your bobbin, brush gently with a clean soft brush to remove dust and/or thread bits, then gently wiggle your hand wheel back and forth, and brush again. This should free up your machine.

I can't get the needle to thread automatically on my new Janome 3160.

if the needle threader is not working, try rethreading the machine & if that
doesn't help then take the machine back to the place you bought it & see what they will do about it

Janome 1860 needle threader

If the hook is bent, you might be able to straighten it, but I would go to my dealer and purchase a new threader. It is much easier to replace it.

Janome 6500 jamming - cleaned out bobbin case - no help

Have you removed the bobbin holder and then put it back in lining up the little red markings on the right hand side? If the case has moved slightly then it will keep jamming and the bobbin thread won't clear to form a stitch. The case is held in place by a magnet and a stopper but it will dislodge if you have a bad thread jam, then it keeps happening even if you have removed all the thread because its not in position.

Check this solution for image how to remove and replace the bobbin case. http://www.fixya.com/support/t9289728-bobbin_seems

When you take out the bobbin case, carefully inspect it for any damage and burrs in the black plastic, if there are any then file them carefully out with a nail file or fine sandpaper, a burr will keep catching thread too. Or you may actually need to replace the bobbin holder if it has been pierced by the needle badly, they are about $35 or so.

You may also want to get it serviced. On my 6500 during its last service the technician added a little piece that is a Janome "after sale replacement" part. It is slightly longer than the standard part, and is a little metal bit on the left hand side of the rotary hook area which is holding the bobbin holder in place better. Haven't had a major jam up since this was fitted so you may want to get this fitted on yours too.

Janome MC 10001 auto. needle threader stuck in up position.

You are threading the top of the machine incorrectly.

Make sure the needle is in correctly with the flat side to the rear of the machine, make sure to thread the upper and lower portions of the machine correctly. If this does not solve your problem, please respond.
