Hi, I had the same problem with my MBP and the best solution I found was:
Dissable the Wlan security and use Mac Address control only for the wireless. This will keep your network secure anyway and you can connect normally.

The only inconvenience is that when you want to connect other computers to your wireless you have to enter its MAC address on the list.

Remember to set the list as Allow.

Help! I have just got internet and my aterm WR8165N-ST router won't work with my NTT VH100 modem. I've been told I need to configure the router - can someone tell me how to do that in English? Thanks

I believe your VH100 is only a VDSL converter. You'll need to reconfigure your NEC router as an access point or PPPOE. You'll need the credentials from the company to put into your router. I can't help you cuz I am not familiar with either device.
I would ask who you're buying DSL from if they have a wireless device you can buy or rent from them so they will help you. Or cancel your service and buy internet from someone else. I prefer cable. It takes about a week to activate your VDSL line so it may not even be turned on yet.

I have a new belkin n150 when i conect to the modem, there is a amber flash light for the modem on the router, when i conect the computer directly i have conection, i have folowed all the instructions but...

This indicates that router can't detect cable modem or this is unresponsive, probably your modem is logically tied with your PC (MAC address associated), that's why when you connect them directly work fine, if this is the case, you'll have to clone the MAC address of your PC into your router, this should be at Setup Menu, Manage MAC addresses option.

4.then click on Clone,(It will assign your computers mac to the Router) ,now click on Apply changes
5.Then unplug the power cable of both modem and router, after 10 secs put only to the modem, after all lights got lit up,put the power cable to Router.

Belkin Wireless N router/Embarq 660 modem/No internet

Make sure your physical connection is correct. From the modem, the ethernet cable should plugged in to the Internet/WAN port of the router. And your computer to port 1. Access the setup page of the router again and Enable the MAC Address Clone setting. Clone the MAC Address of your PC there then power cycle the router and modem. You should be all set.

Router won't connect to the internet

I managed to figure it out. I had to clone the MAC address to get the router to connect to the Internet.

I still have another problem though, my laptop still won't connect to the router. I'm using Vista, is this a possible network adapter issue? My laptop is fine at connecting to other wireless networks round my friend's houses/libraries...

Losing internet connection when I try to connect laptop to wireless router

Your cloning the mac address - thats the problem. It should use it's own mac address to connect to the modem. You need to power down the modem, then repower after a minute or so to let it connect to the new mac address. The problem you are seeing is due to network collisions betweenj the desktop and the router with the modem.
