You need oil cylinder bore with clean engine oil.you need a piston ring compressor make sure ring gaps and oil control ring gap correct make sure look at top piston should have a knotch on top so piston be facing right direction.when install pistons in cylinder block make sure piston rods studs has piece hose on threads to keep from damaging cylinder bore and crankshaft journals.make sure cylinder bore top ridge been removed and cylinder been honed out or bored out if you try install new piston with rings the rings will break if you have not remove top ridge.when you install new pistons rings in cylinder bore need oil soak piston ring compressor and cylinder bore. with piston ring compressor around piston rings and piston you tighten the compressor to compress piston rings take wood handle with hammer tap piston with wood handle piston will slowly goes into cylinder bore you have to install pistons at top of cylinder block.

In the back the caliper pistons actually have to be turned... you can either do it with something that can fit in the two v-shaped notches, or you can buy a tool from Autozone, etc. that will fit on a 3/8" drive ratchet to turn the piston back in.
I did this myself for the first time about 4 weeks ago. Confused me until I asked an Autozone employee.

are they smooth faced? if so a C-Clamp/if they have some indentations in the face you need to screw these in with a homemade tool or for about $15 get a multi-purpose tool for many different vehichle brake piston types
Remove wheel, remove the two bolts in the calipers, pull up calipers,
remove pads compress caliper piston with a c-clamp, be sure to have the brake fluid cap off the reservoir under the hood. pull the rotor off and put the new one on. - replace pads and reverse the order.

I ask how to compress the piston, if compress will damage piston no good ,by turning to bring down to level with caliper then you can put the pads .
