Waste trap under bath leaks

There is supposed to be a U-trap under the 'Clicker' (had to look that one up) drain. I got $5 that says you no longer have that U-trap. It didn't smell before (evidence you had a U-trap) it only started smelling after the Clicker was installed and hasn't stopped (evidence you no longer have a U-trap.)
The purpose of the U-trap is to keep water in the 'U' so that smells don't come back into the house from the septic whatever.
Get someone else to check it.

Did you put the rubber gasket and cardboard sleeve on the bottom of the sink(next to the nut and did you use plumbers putty on the top part of the sink under the top section of the basket. Hint if you put some soap on the gasket under the sink between it and the nut it will be easier to tighten also you must secure the top part of the basket as you turn the nut if not the plumbers putty will not seal. If you do not have the strainer basket holding tool wrench you can substitute with a pare of needle nose pliers. Large channel locks or pliers can work to turn the large nut on bottom. If you can recruit a helper to hold the top part of the strainer basket with the needle nose pliers it make the job of tightening the large nut easier. When a large amount of the plumbers putty has squeezed out and the strainer is flush with the sink you should have a tight seal.

You will have to bust out the ceiling where the dripping is occuring to get to the pipes. Before doing so, check and see if your house was built with an access door for the valves. (Look on the other side of the wall where the valves are.) I have the very same problem and am going through ceiling replacement after repairing the pipes. It is a mess. Good luck.

What part is not deep enough, the actual drain or the overflow plate/ trip lever?

It should be a simple solution. The seal from the toilet to the piping has failed and needs to be replaced.You are probably looking at a parts cost of less than 20 bucks if you buy it yourself.

Yes the weight of someone in the tub plus the water can push the tub down far enough to cause the leak.
Unscrew the flange in the tub that holds the drain to the tub. Get some plumbers putty and make a bead to fit between the tub and flange.
Make sure the rubber gasket is clean ..use a bit of plumber's putty on this as well. Get an assistant to stand in the tub while you snug things up.
Snug it up tight.... replace if the threads are stripped as you said.
Plus if your house is less than a year old, I'd talk to the contractor/builder if possible about warranty work...most reputable builders will cover their work for the first year.

barell stopper, trip lever? is this the same thing? If so go and get a push pull waste and overflow and forget the trip lever, (old school stuff).

Once that fitting is damaged it is very difficult to repair. Try contacting Franke for nearest distributer and see if they will replace.

! goes over the threaded piece that screws into the piece that goes under the tub...and the other goes between the tub and the waste assembly thereby creating a sandwich with one on top and one underneath the tub....then screw the piece down tight through the tub and into the waste assembly and your good to go.....
